Did you see where Fletcher wanted the Barnes contract in a Davis trade scenario with Sacramento?

I wouldn’t mind Sacramento as a trade partner. It would have to start with Marvin Bagley III who is the real deal and would be a great get in a trade for AD. Barnes would be a solid piece but a lot of draft picks would have to be involved as well. Not my favorite trade partner but wouldn’t be a bad option at all. What else was he wanting outside of Barnes?

Demps put together good young rosters that weren't "rag tag". If this franchise cant fix the injury problems, then the new GM wont be any better.
    So much agreeance.

David Griffin had added all of the Pels players to his Twitter acct as of today. That's cool.

Does that include AD, or did he just skip straight to the unfollowing for that one?

He also follows Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum, and Evan Turner.

Never gone the veteran route? How many draft choices have we built around since AD/Rivers? Demps' biggest trade was for Cousins. Was he not a veteran? Asik?

It's kind of ridiculous to pretend that Demps didn't try the ''young vet'' strategy. I don't even blame him: it's better to have a strategy than to not have one. It just ended up being the wrong choice.

Demps traded for and signed 'young vets' all throughout his tenure. Asik, like you say. Cousins, also. Solo was 25 his first season with us, big money signing there. Niko was 26 when we traded for him, again, young vet type. Ian Clark, again, 26, coming off runs with Golden State, had also been with Denver and Utah. Dante Cunningham was 27 when we got him at first, had played in over 350 games by then. These people are the definition of ''young vets'', that is, players who are pretty young but who have have multiple years in the league, preferably made playoff trips (Asik, Clark, Niko, Cunningham), and are looking to step up and be real contributors at this point.

Now, almost all of those signings went badly in one way or another, and it didn't help us win at all. But it was his plan, CLEARLY, to adopt young vets and try to run with that.

This move is looking better and better. He seems to be very respected around the league and has a relationship where players seem to love him. I can’t think of anyone out there we could have picked who would be a better fit as our POBO.

Hypothetical: We are going to hire Langdon. That won't be announced until after Brooklyn is out of the playoffs right?

No way to tell yet. He also reportedly is interested in Redden, but Clippers are still in playoffs (for a few more days at least).

The Davis media Darlings are ignoring our hire today. Looks like we got a good one.

Winger could be off radar soon.

Winger was not on our radar, but reportedly his assistant, Redden is on the radar. If Winger leaves, Redden could be either promoted or out of a job if another GM comes in.

I give more credit to Doc Rivers for the success of that roster than I do the GM. Rivers really earned a lot of respect this season.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

Clippers assistant GM getting promoted to our GM? Have to like it if he was behind building the Clippers squad. Bunch of outcasts playing good basketball together. Doing what Demps was supposed to do but with less.
