It's not necessarily the amount, it's the length of the contract that's the real killer.

If Hill was only signed for 3 years instead of 4, we'd be in a much better position

a 2 or 3 year contract for Randle at 15 isn't so bad. Anymore than that and it becomes an albatross

It did. He's still played the most minutes, he's still taken the most shots, and although his +/- isn't the worst anymore, it's still the worse than Jrue's, Diallo's, Jackson's, Clark's, and Miller's.

I agree. I would like something for around 3 years and $16 million per as my max.. I think another team will pay more though so he is likely gone. We simply can’t short his minutes or else no FA would ever sign with us again on a team friendly deal. He was promised something and we are owning up to that which we should.

I would be comfortable with that. Can be a very good trade piece in a year or 2 into that contract as well. Would not hurt this team at all and be a good veteran presence on what is likely to be a young team.
