Saints and Pelicans' PA announcer Chuck Edwards passed away

BILOXI, MS (WLOX) - Chuck Edwards, public address announcer for the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans, passed away Wednesday, WLOX learned.

Edwards, a Gulfport native, joined the Saints organization as a game host/emcee in 1997, before lending his talents to the Pelicans as their public address announcer beginning in 2007.

Before his tenure in New Orleans, Edwards was also the public address announcer for the Mississippi Sea Wolves of the ECHL, along with serving as the creative service director for Alpha Media’s Biloxi-Gulfport market.
