"It was a night full of milestones, broken streaks, excitement, and most of all…hope. With their beloved New Orleans Saints getting off to a disheartening 0-3 start, the fans in the Superdome were anxious and hopeful for a sign life within the black and gold for the 2015 season. Wishing for something, anything to get excited about, they finally had their chance when Zach Hocker lined up for a 30-yard field goal to win the game with just over ten seconds left. Snap, hold, kick…plunk. Here we go again. Hocker’s chip shot attempt banged off of the left goal post and everyone’s first thought was, “Is this really happening?” To overtime the Saints and Cowboys went with many already starting to think about how miserable the Monday work day would be if they ended up losing this game. A Khiry Robinson drop on the first play with no one around him only solidified the nervousness around the building. Then, on the following play, C.J. Spiller sent Saints fans in to a craze as he dashed up the sideline for an 80 yard touchdown reception to win the game. I’m pretty sure that the collective sigh of relief let out by every player, coach, and fan would have been strong enough to actually push Hocker’s kick through the uprights. That’s how relieved everyone was. The first one is always the toughest, they say. If that wasn’t true last night, I’m not sure what to believe."
