Thats your expectations. Warrior owners dont feel that way.

    You should read more.

So, Warriors are underachieving because their fans think they are? Again, my bad.

FIRE THE MEDICAL STAFF TOO WHILE YOU'RE AT IT.

Need to learn from those witchcraft people over in Arizona how they provide the fountain of youth to players like Shaq and Nash

TBH, who gives a crap about the Warriors? Curry makes that team go much like Davis does here. The coaches, the teammates, the gm's, they are inconsequential as long as those guys are on the court.
If you Jimmer it, they will come.

  5. #1355
Why would McMillan be any different than Monty? Go look up complaints abut his coaching tenure. You will find a lot of the same stuff! Lionel Hollins, too.

Mark Jackson doesn't get along with any of his coaching staff and went weeks without speaking to Mike Malone when he was on staff. He just sent Scalabrine away from the team without a reason; ownership is the only reason Brian is still on staff. I somehow doubt Jackson would be any better than what we currently have since he is also a motivation guy that relies on his staff for the Xs and Os.

Stan Van Gundy would be a fine choice, were he willing. With Davis, IMO it's worth asking ... AD is an attractive piece for a coach.

Your comprehension is way off on this dude. No where did I say George Karl NEVER won a NBA conference title. My post is directly saying a 'Successful Mark in winning titles' , meaning multiples titles(plural) being won. Again, 1 or 2 conference wins doesn't count as being a successful mark in winning titles.
*You can't prove a person statement being false on something that a person never said.

    Wait...
Do u see George Karl as having a successful mark in his coaching career in winning conference championships in the NBA?

    FYI:
The letter 'S' means plural at the end of the words Titles and Championships

Wasn't one of his better nights. I believe he was too stubborn to go with what works tonight. For one, Aminu was not very effective against Gay on defense, and Gay was sagging into the paint so that was even worse.

Steamers and Ajinca... blah blah blah...

Yeah that single post after the game and someone responding was a flurry of activity. I can see the pitchforks outside Monty's office now. I hope he leaves out the window.

Withey playing out of his mind but yet he has Stiemsma and Ajinca in front of him. Me can't understand. When I start watching the game, it feels really painful to be watching Roberts-Aminu-Stiemsma start. It drives me ill.
Roberts is back with his hero ball and Monty is loving it.
There is no reason why Rivers, Morrow and Withey shouldn't be seeing more minutes, even Miller who has been doing really good lately. But nah, keep riding your fetish boys, coach.

    We deserve what we get.

Withey is proving that we don't need to look for a Big this summer. Him, Smitty and renchy are a nice trio of bigs to go along with what we got.

I just want to say that while I personally love Miller. He is not doing really good lately. He will always have that clipper game - thank you Miller, but no, he's still pretty awful. Last night he played 28 minutes and gave us 6 points and 3 rebounds. His average for the month of March is 16mpg, 4ppg, less than 1 rebound, less than 1 assist, and 1.5 PFs per game.

Withey played "out of his mind" and kept Ajinca and Steamer on the bench. Combined they played 7 minutes less than Withey played by himself. Rivers played more minutes than Roberts and Morrow tied for 2nd most minutes played behind only AD.

it is funny that when even more players are injured and monty is forced to start morrow and playing tyreke as pg he gets credit for having better starting lineups. i am sure that when everybody is healthy next season monty will be lost again..

Withey had is 2nd most minutes of his Career at 28 minutes. That's 1 less than is career high in minutes... He played more than Anjinca and Steamer... c'mon man.

I really want to see us develop Withey more. If Monty can do that, he can save his job because a 1-2 of Withey and Davis under the rim would be great.

While I agree (and have been beating this drum for a few weeks now) Ajinca and Withey should be even better next year after they have had an entire season with this unit. The idea (for me) is that Ajinca and Withey can develop into average bigs (give you solid minuets next to Davis, providing nothing but defense). The Bulls did it with Purdue, Cartwright, and Longley. The Heat with Anderson, Anthoney, and whoever. The Spurs did it with Elison and Oberto. If Davis, Jrue, and Reke are as good as we are billing them, we should be able to win with a stable of Withey, Ajinca, and Smith.

Although some of your post is spot on, the Roberts part is not! Let's not forget he's coming off injury and the team as a whole struggled to get any good shots and when they did they did not make them. Rivers is a long way from leading this team (still hesitates to take shots and is a shot clock killer). Let's remember both guards are back ups who were thrust into this position due to injury. Just my analysis of a game that I attended.

I want a big bruiser so go along side AD. Maybe "when" Withey bulks up during the summer, could he be that big bruiser we or I'm looking for?

If Withey can take a Jason Smith like jump in ability, we'll be set. He's already good enough to be the 1st big off the bench for 2/3 of the league, imo. Monty just doesn't give him the time of day some games for whatever reason.

For as much as I have bashed on Rivers, he is coming on over his last 10 games. I wonder what a change in adding a few more minuets a game to his stat line would do for the growth in his game. Experience is the greatest teacher, and he looks to be learning the more he sees the court (same with Withey).

That's precisely happening to AD as well. The game after he got bullwhipped by Blake Griffin, the next game someone tried to rim run him, he just got his position and drew a charge. And the next game vs Blake was far, far better for him personally.

I can understand why he is hesitant to throw him to the wolves. Doesn't it take like 3 years for a big to develop, so why shatter Withey's confidence now, but it doesn't seem like Withey is shrinking away from contact, he seems to be embracing it, and looking to impose his will on others.

I think the staff is doing it right with Withey. The kid has potential... he's showing it more and more with the amount of minutes he's getting. He'll continue to develop for the rest of these games, and they have said that Jeff will stay in new Orleans and work this summer.

So he'll get bigger... stronger... gain more confidence. This approach worked with AD. Not saying the 2 players are on the same level, but let the kid grow. I think he'll be our opening night starting center.
