    Miami Heat 2008 Press Conference

JNR: Welcome one and all to this year's presser. We want to take this time to thank Keith Bogans, Jamaal Tinsley, and Travis Knight for their time with the team. They are all true professionals and we wish them the best.

We didn't make a lot of noise this offseason, but we would like to introduce our first round draft pick, Glen Davis. Glen is excited to step in and help where needed.

Any questions for Glen, me, coach, or any of our other players?

Allen Iverson has become more of an outside oriented scorer how does that affect your team's mainly inside scoring roster.

Allen has picked up his outside scoring after working with former Heat player Ray Allen this offseason, and it has paid dividends. However, he is still a dangerous threat in the paint with his dribble penetration. I expect it will make Iverson a more dangerous scorer, no matter the focus we run.

Sports Guy Bill Simmons here, what are your realistic goals this season? Will Bynum start to see a heavier workload? Does he need to play 36-38 mins or are his mins limited for any particular reason?

Well it's no secret that we are one of two teams in this league to never make the playoffs. And we would like to change that. We think we can make the playoffs. And Andrew's development will be integral to that goal. We want him carrying a heavy load. Of course, it will depend on his health and how much better he got at free throws this offseason.
