    It provides coastal residents with a “one stop” ready reference containing important contact phone numbers and internet web sites for emergency information in the state and local area. NCDDC produces one unique NEWIS product for each of the states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. Currently, NCDDC divides Florida into four different Gulf Coast NEWIS sections, due to its large coastal area.
