Yet another division game has come and gone, leaving Saints fans out of breath. After a Week 1 tilt against Atlanta, the Saints followed up with an even crazier finish to get to 2-0.

The game was a combination of great defense and sloppy offense for both teams. The Bucs got their only offensive touchdown after an interception from Drew Brees, setting up Tampa Bay with great field position at the Saints 35 yard line. New Orleans answered with their only touchdown when Tampa Bay had an audible miscommunication, leaving Jimmy Graham wide open down the seam for a 56 yards score.

Coach Payton and the sideline erupts after Garrett Hartley’s game winning field goal.

Brees gift wrapped Tampa Bay another interception, this one from Mason Foster who made an unbelievable 85 yard return for a touchdown. Tampa then led 14-13 and used a 12 play, 57 yard drive to set up a 47 yard field goal attempt that would’ve forced the Saints to get a touchdown. Ryan Lindell missed wide left and the Saints offense had one last shot.

After a second half of struggling to move the ball, it only took the Saints 60 seconds to go 54 yards in 5 plays. A 31 yard strike from Brees to Marques Colston got the Saints down to the Buccaneers 9 yard line, where they would stop the clock with a spike with 6 seconds left on the clock. Garrett Hartley drilled the 27 yard field goal as time expired to close out a dramatic comeback victory.
