Play in tournament is Mutually Assured Destruction & Mediocrity for the foreseeable future. Welcome to the dumpster fire that is the Pelicans... Getting into the fake playoffs is our Superbowl. If we win... We lose our draft pick. Just to get swept by the GSW.

Griff just needs to swallow his pride and do the right thing for the franchise long term. Let the Team acquire a high level talented guard prospect in the draft with Jaden Ivey. If you have to be let go... let it be...Quit this halfway competing and rebuilding bs. Save trading Jaxon for the offseason.

Just do the right thing and let us reap the rewards of this terrible season and quit making it worse when we end up drafting 13th again in no man's land with prospects that more often than not bust or needs years to be real contributors. We need a real top 10 prospect. If you move Hayes... that means in 4 years... you would have drafted zero top ten prospect to build around Zion and that's BIG YIKES.

We need to fire Griff ASAP before he can pull some dumb ******** like that.

Why would we trade Hayes right now? His value is at an ALL TIME LOW. And just to hopefully win some meaningless games at the end of the year? We should commit to the tank, let the young guys play BIG mins to see what we have, and hopefully acquire a top 5 pick.

Worst case scenario we win just enough games to save Griffs job while simultaneously ruining our draft selection.

Let the record show. Back when the trade hadn't been made, only stevemadden stood up for Hayes.

For what little return we will get for Hayes, we should keep him. He is still young and that low 2nd we will get for him will just be sold anyway.

I'll echo it. It makes NO sense to trade Jaxson right now. His value is at his absolute lowest. We'd be giving him away for nothing at this stage, and it would be better to let him play in Birmingham than to try to trade him right now.

Probably worth even less on the trading block now.
