I honestly don’t think we make any big moves. I don’t think Beal, KAT, or Jeremi Grant is getting traded. If Larry Nance Jr. does it for you, he likely is an easy get (2, 2nd round picks including the Cavs pick or the Lakers 1st in 2022 if the Cavs take Bledsoe as well). He doesn’t move the needle for me. I think we keep one of Lonzo or Hart but not both. We likely run back most of the same team with a guard in the draft and 1 or 2 veteran shooters (like Danny Green).
My prediction lineup for next year...
PG: Ball/Lewis/draft pick
SG: Danny Green/NAW/1st round pick
SF: Ingram/Marshall/Didi
PF: Zion/Nance Jr./draft pick (stretch 4)
C: Adams/Hayes/Hernangomez
I dont see any big moves. But some "medium" ones certainly in the cards with a surprise trade of one of the young ones maybe.
Dont see them keeping many draft picks. One or two at most.
Priority #1 is finding some veteran guard that can isn't complete trash or highly inconsistent. It honestly wouldn't have been so bad with George Hill instead of Bledsoe imo.
Priority #2 is to make sure all the young guns improve this offseason. Including and especially Zion and BI. Then NAW/Kira/Naji/Jax and by the looks of it...Didi.
It's one of those odd junctures where they are so close yet can be far away with one wrong move.
What I wish would happen and what I think will happen are very different things.
What I *want* us to do is try and consolidate our multiple second rounders into potentially a late first or something, draft a good lottery player, and then potentially package Bledsoe (who is essentially expiring) with that late first to try and secure a solid NBA rotation player, and then allow Lonzo to leave - S&T if you can manage but otherwise just eat the loss and let him walk*.
I don't think this is particularly likely, for a number of reasons. Much more likely is that we pull off maybe one or two of these things but otherwise blunder elsewhere; maybe we draft a lottery player but it's someone I don't rate highly, and we make the right move with Bledsoe but resign Lonzo for too much, something like that. Mixture of good and bad.
*Except in the extremely unlikely scenario that he's willing to take bargain basement money.
i want us to offer schroeder a contract and see if he will take it...he do play defense..
throw money at duncan robinson to show that we trying to get a shooter but the heat will match...
trade bledsoe before the trade deadline...
sign and trade with lonzo or just let him go....
or just have a new starting back court February 2022 and that would make me a happy man for the rest of that season...
Also, I'm all on board with just letting Lonzo go. I mean for anything.
Just upgrade the position.
Schroeder is exactly the kind of mood I'm not interested in. He would likely be relatively expensive to acquire given that we're not a marquee destination (he cost LA $15.5m for this year, you have to imagine he'd cost us more) and he's not great. Not a very good shooter, below league average as a finisher, mediocre playmaker, and while he's not a terrible defender he's not exactly a noteworthy plus either: this year is his first career season without a negative DBPM (it's exactly +0.00 this year, a career high) and he's about 200th in the league in D-EPM, which matches my eye test as well.
Overpaying for someone who is like the definition of replacement level is not a good move imo.
Some1 posted on realgm this trade:
Pels send: Bledsoe, 2021 1st rounder and 2022 Lakers first rounder
Indy send: Brogdon
Suprisingly most of Pacers fans said they would accept it.
I like it a lot. Lakers pick is in late 20's 100% and i really want Brogdon on this team since he brings basketball IQ and IQ in general, with shooting and defense...
After that i would even consider keeping Lonzo for right price ofc(20 or less)
Brogdon/Kira
Ball/Naw/Naji
Ingram /Hart/Didi
Zion/
Adams/Hayes/Hernangomez
I would really love to send Adams somewhere but i just cant find a trade withouth giving up too much assets...
HOW ABOUT THIS...
1. Sign Lonzo.
2. Package Lonzo and Adams in a trade with Golden State for Andrew Wiggins and and their 2021 First Pick.
3. Package our First Pick, with the Golden State First Pick and next Year's LA First Pick to move up into the top three in this year's draft. Hope for Suggs
(Essentially it's Adams, Lonzo and two Number Ones for Wiggins and Suggs)
I think you can't sign and trade a player in combination with other players.
Also im not sure GSW would accept that anyway.
And third thing, that trade is guarantee we are not making playoffs next 2-3 seasons while that prospect develops(if he develops).
I want to start winning and playing playoff games ASAP or i think Zion will be one more star who will be leaving as soon as he has opportunity...
Yeah let’s go get KAT since Kentucky players fair well here.
It would only be fitting if the Lakers found a way and got help from other teams to acquire Beal
My interest level in this team will fall drastically if we keep Ball. I can't watch the most inconsistent player in the NBA every night. Not gonna happen.
At minimum bring in shooters. Preferably two sided players, and find that combo-forward to fill the small-ball/bench utility role. Wagner is one of those guys that should be available at that spot. There are others that should be available in this draft too.
They were close to Lowry

Nothing would surprise me what Pelinka can do. He is smart.
Knicks GM another former agent showing you how it is done too.
Good for Casey. He is doing wonderful things for the Pistons
Formal announcement is expected soon. Detroit GM Troy Weaver has been enthusiastic with Casey and his staff's development of young players amid start of franchise's rebuild.

If we are gonna suck again... Can we at least pay Utah to get our name back.
Just change the name to Jazzy Pelicans
I'm pretty sure that last year the Pelicans re-signed Kenrich Williams, Frank Jackson, Zylan Cheatam, and Josh Gray and packaged them together to complete the Steven Adams trade.
Your point is well taken about GS's interest in this particular trade, but do they want four players to tie up almost 140MM in payroll?
Curry: 45.8MM
Thompson: 38.0MM
Green: 24.0MM
Wiggins: 31.6MM
I believe somebody will deal with Golden State.
Stealing this, but I think it's realistic...
Sign and trade Ball to Clippers for Luke Kennard and a far out future first.
2021+ 3 2nds and Bledsoe for Malcolm Brogdan.
Re-sign Hart 3 years 34M
Re-sign Willy
Vet PG
Vet PF
2021/22 Roster
Brogdan/Lewis/Vet PG
Kennard/NAW/Didi
Ingram/Hart/Naji
Zion/Vet PF/Gabriel
Adams/Hayes/Willy
Hmmm...who did you steal that from??
Haha.... I know. I should have let it play out where people liked it and then said it was mine and they bashed it.
Also, be on the lookout for similar offers for OG, FVV, or Siakam. Toronto has taken the temperature from a few teams on what they can get for some of their guys
I can get down with this. However, I don't think we'll make a shift like this. Kennard is a poor defender(from what I've seen) but a pretty decent offensive guy. Brogdon is decent all around.... So hmmm we'll see. Still can't see Indiana doing this without at least 2FRP.
Who else gives Indy a top 10 pick for him?
Its going to take a team seeing the landscape and saying, "lets take a step back for this year"
And no single team in and of themselves is more likely to do that than not, but somebody will. Might be Indy, might be Toronto, might be a team that gets embarrassed in the first round. I dont know who it will be but history says one or two teams will do a soft reset this offseason.
Any trade is far more likely to not happen than happen, so it isnt hard to shoot down a specific one. But the idea is to expect something like that where Griff gets aggressive with his top 10 pick and targets a good to very good player on a team who wouldnt mind doing a soft reset because they have no chance of immediately contending
I don't like Kennard, personally. Would much rather keep Lonzo.
Granted, but when that big move comes we'll need useful salary as part of the matching process. Lonzo's big contract could be great in that regard. We have like 10 first rounders in the next 5 years to barter with already.
Lonzo + NAW + filler + 3 or 4 1st from the collection of NO/MIL/LAL 1sts is a good starting point offer for another All-Star-starter level player.
Some1 posted this on realgm and most of pacers fans accepted that:
Bledsoe, 2021 1st and 2022 Lakers 1st for Brogdon.
TBH i dont see the difference between Lakers 2022 first and 3 seconds since its going to be ~25 pick in the draft.
Im willing to do both, and i really want our offseason to start with that trade.
Can you be sure that Lebron's body isn't starting to break down? Maybe instead of staying healthy half the year before the duo gets injured, it happens at the beginning of the year and the pick ends up being in the lottery.
I'd rather trade 4 seconds, than the Lakers next first. I hope the FO values it more than a few seconds.
I'm kind of stuck in a difficult position because on the one hand, I like Brogdon and I think he's a good player and I do think he would help this team, but on the other hand I feel like the discourse surrounding how good he actually is tends towards the hyperbolic.
He's good. Is he multiple firsts and big expirings (an attractive asset) good? Idk
Maybe he is and I'm just being conservative on it, I'm not sure. He's efficient on offense, definitely, but I would describe him as ''steady'' more than a star or a borderline-star, and I think a lot of the talk about how good he is defensively is overblown. He's fine on defense but the way some people talk about him you'd think he was an All Defense guy or something.
Perhaps you think it's more acceptable if you think that Ingram definitely is that 2nd Guy on an elite team, cause then you only have to be looking for someone who is steady, whereas if you think we're still short on that top tier talent the cost of a Brogdon stops being quite as good value?
Brogdon is a smart player, a 50/40/90 threat with a good defensive reputation. He's not worth selling the farm for, but he's the kind of borderline All Star every team would love to have.
That's kind of my perspective. I like him, he's definitely good, no question about that. Not trying to say he's a bad player or anything of that nature. The question is, he's a top 60 player for sure, but definitely not top 30 imo. How much am I willing to pay for that? And I'm not really sure right now. I know that, for example, rotation players + 3 Firsts would be too many (thats Jrue money and he's not Jrue in terms of impact) but that's about all I'm sure of.
Brogdon or Kispert ?
It doesnt have to be one or the other. If you make the deals I propose, you still have tons of picks, young players, and salaries to go get the #2 guy without giving up Brogdon, Zion, or Ingram. Again, I dont believe that 2nd guy will be available this summer. So, you go get the eventually #4 guy, improve a little bit, and then if that 2nd guy becomes available, go get him and have a true contender
Is Brogdon just the type of player we expect management to pursue or has he been speculated as an actual target? I think he is an improvement, but not really a huge difference maker. He has missed his share of games due to injury as well. The price may not be as hig as some think.
Well, apparently some.people think i just make it all uo any way, so whats the difference? But yes, there has been a pretty steady list from.people in the know that Griff has where he has an A group of 2-3 guys he will target and a B list of 6-10 if the A guys wont be moved. And Brogdon is on that B list.
I'll hold off until after the lottery. If we move into the top 4 that'll change how I view the off-season. But 3 moves I would like to see regardless are:
-Trading a couple 2nds for Jarrett Culver as it seems Minnesota wants to move on despite his upside still being very high imo
-Trade Bledsoe+Adams for Horford+2nd
-Sign Otto Porter
