Personally, I think the fact that he doesn't fit is what actually makes him fit....in that we need exactly what he nrings....but maybe there's more out there I'm missing. -

That said, I think he is going to be looking for more money than the Pelicans should pay for his skill set/fit. While it's clear Favors doesn't fit the mould for the type of centre you would design to perfectly slot into this team, the fact is that we desperately need someone who boxes out, plays consistent defense, gets defensive boards, can defend the PnR, etc, at the C position. He does those things and he does them well. Obviously in a perfect world he'd also stretch the floor and be 6 years younger, but sometimes perfection can be the enemy of the good and giving him up to search for the perfect player who isn't there could damage the team. If the right guy is there, like a Myles Turner, then sure, letting Favors go might be the right idea, but that's a big if.Quote:
