March 16th - New Orleans Pelicans VS Phoenix Suns - 30-41

After a big night from Randle, setting a new career high, and Elfrid hitting his third consecutive triple double (the most consecutive trip dubs in Pelicans history), we managed to also get a loss! Which is nice for the tank. Unfortunately Washington also lost, so we didn't jump over them quite. They don't play tonight though, so if we can manage a loss to Phoenix then we'll pass them and then it'll be neck and neck.

We have now lost 5 straight, and honestly, this is a game we can win even without Jrue and Moore. We play Phoenix. We've lost 5 straight, they've lost 3 of 4. They suck at an astronomical level, but we've not looked too hot recently either. I will note though that we have not lost 16 straight at any point, which they did back in February, which is just tragic.

Well, since we've played Phoenix pretty recently, I'm not going to put too much here. I just hope that, after not really playing too much last game, Diallo and Okafor get more of a chance to play. It's the second night of a back to back and Randle played 43 minutes last night, so surely Gentry has to see that maybe limiting him to 30 tonight is a better idea than playing him out full-on.

Let's go and #DoItFairlySized.

We are going to have to be the better tanker tonight. Which probably means Randle should stay the course and play little defense.

Anybody wanting a “PG” to play with Jrue he’s on the team.. Elfrid Payton. Bring in a stud SG like Beal and start games with Jrue/Beal while staggering minutes so Holiday gets minutes with a “PG”..

Really like what Payton has done.. had he never got hurt Mirotic would still be here and this team would be right in the playoff hunt. If Frank and Keinrich could have played this way to start the season then we might be where the Nuggets are. Maybe the best thing to happen was Payton getting hurt and everything that followed.. I guess we will see!!

I like this Bertrand guy a lot. What a pretty shot he has.. ball looks like it’s going in every time. Could be a very good piece for this team off the bench going forward. The Pelicans version of Joe Ingles

Why would we trade with ANY team in the west? Why make them better?

I like our young guys. Their enthusiasm is infectious. Lots of jumping around on the bench. re-sign Randall. Get anything for AD. Don't care what it is at this point. Next year can be fun.
