Shawne was part of the Cedric Simmons Hilton Armstrong draft.

I am not sure the Pels are kicking themselves for drafting those two more than the Bulls are for trading Lamarcus Aldridge for Tyrus Thomas.

This deal accomplishes something for both sides: the Heat have been trying to unload Cole, who will be a restricted free agent this summer. The Pelicans need a short-term point guard while Jrue Holiday recovers from a leg injury that will sideline him at least the next three weeks. Cole isn’t having a good season, but they gave up practically nothing to get him. And the annual trade deadline requirement that John Salmons has to be moved at least once has been met. Everyone wins.

It would make zero sense if we get Shawne Williams instead of Cole. Especially with Jrue re-aggravating his injury.

Looks like Cole to us for John Salmons.

I like Cole! He would be a good addition.

Pretty solid trade. Nothing crazy but a definite improvement. Addressed a need at back up PG. Added a possible role player in Shawne Williams. Gave up nothing. Maintained cap flexibility.

I don't know I feel the Sixers lost the trade deadline altogether. Trade MCW and McDaniels for essentially nothing. At least the Suns got Brandon Knight.

Shawne Williams was shooting pretty good at the beginning of the season. And Norris Cole is an NBA champion and been to the finals twice
