If he's still on the team, I'll be very excited to see what he can produce this season as a real back up PG.
I think Monty trusts him so let's see what a Unchained Austin can do ! Especially if he can shoot midrange jumper now :D
Hell yeah! He needs to get stronger, so he can finish in the paint and not end up on the floor all the time. Now he just needs to work on converting them free throws and hitting his shots. Like I said before this year he will prove his worth to the team by being one of our top bench performers!
Hopefully he's working on his left hand as well.
Both him and AD has gotte stronger already this offseason, hopefully it pays off for him attacking the rim and AD in the post.
He is obviously putting some work in. This should definitely help him absorb contact; hopefully he has worked equally as hard on finishing at the rim.
Beast mode activated
Reminds me of him and Chief on the Kiss Cam in Philly:

One of my favorite pels. If he really can get stronger then u cant stop him because he can get to the rim whenever, that with his 3 ball and defense, all star potential
Why is Austin posting pics with his mom's Shake-Weight?
Will certainly help him around the rim, and if he can finish more consistently in the paint, he'll be a big piece for us off the bench. Great news!
I said before this offseason that dude need to live in the weight room.
Amazing. If this don't translate in to better scoring in the paint, don't know what will.
LOL @ folks still thinking he's gonna be traded.
Is he a poor man's tony Parker on steroids?

Dude has a seriously small frame, he's bulked up but nothing that would impress the body builders because of his genes.
Anyway, go Rivers this season!
Go Austin! Hope this leads to some posterizations.
I don't have much of a frame on myself but i've put on a decent amount of weight and by no means am i overpowering or considered strong, you can still feel a little more control when you take contact on a layup. He's not going to have to be overpowering but just enough strength to keep control
people expecting him to look like lebron? lol
Glad he is working on adding strength, but really wish he had posted a picture of him squatting instead of dumbbell curls.

This is my expectation for Austin
Rivers did work in his last pro am game Attachment 5701
Videos of him at the Greater NC Pro Am.
You know those vids are from 2011 right?
not one instance of a left handed finish... sigh
This kid is a hard worker, he belongs on an NBA roster
Rivers will prove people wrong. I hope he gets minutes. Give the guy one more year at least. I don't think he's a bust. He might be a better player and he looks really strong. What if he actually becomes the player he was hyped to be? I think he will stay in the league for many years.

Austin's working on his midrange game. You'll see a different Austin next season with improved mechanics as well.
A guy who can score from three, midrange and at the rim while being a plus defender and improving passer (already good at driving and dishing).
There you have it. Straight from the horses mouth.
Though, I'll be honest. If he doesn't make this leap now, 3rd year in? I'm pretty much gonna be done with him. He's seen every team and scheme several times. Things have to be clicking for him now. Which is why he's getting stronger. He can't have a lil boy's body in a grown man's game. So, so, so glad to see he's reaching maturity.
i'd agree that hard work doesn't mean you can cut it in this league, but Austin is lacking parts of the game that CAN be learned/improved. He has the height & speed to be an NBA guard, he has the great first step off a crossover. mid-range, finishing around the basket, & putting on weight are all things guys can always polish in the off-season. So in this instance i do think his hard work will allow him to be a player in this league but guys like Lance (undersized, slow) it can only get them so far
As long as the lower body is getting stronger
Here is the real video from the pro AM just posted today:
1st but true comment on youtube:
"Hes playing white boys doeee lets be real here !"
Meanwhile, cue the Rivers cryptic tweets again -
We Will see......we will see. Not going to say much, I'll let my actions speak. But I'll be the last one laughing. M.o.a.M

I wonder if his tweets are just responses to people trashing him on twitter?
