This is exciting. I am hoping it is Zatarain's...something interesting. What are people speculating?
I don't know but I just told my husband I'm hoping it's not Louisiana Seafood Zatarain's Fried Shrimp Arena.
It will probably be the Cox Cable Arena. bleh.
I still want my arena to be "seasoned" by Zatarans. :hihi:
I'm calling it first, it'll be called the Capital One Arena.
I told my brother they were talking about naming rights last night. He said what are they going to call it, the Pelicans Nest? I said no, a corporate name like Capital One Arena or Capital One Center. It kind of makes sense.
Well, we now know that it will be SOON seeing as they said to be done by ASG.
Capital One, Entergy, and Chevron have been big sponsors in the past.
How much money would the team make from naming rights like that? I know that Capital One has a suite for the Pelicans games, sat up there before it was pretty nice.
Who knows what it will be. Who thought Mercedes would be the one for the dome?

Recent reports have a naming rights deal to be signed for the arena in the next few weeks. Any guesses to which company might pony up some serious $$$$s to have the arena named after them??
The usual companies come to mind:
Capital One, Whitney, or another bank
Entergy
Chevron
Perhaps a car company
Airline (Maybe Southwest)
Cox
Century Link might be a dark horse, they are based in Monroe and are currently have the naming rights for the Seahawks in the NFL
Something off the wall like Twitter or LinkedIN
Please refrain from ridiculous guesses such as Boudreaux's Butt Paste or PawPaws Camper City.
Raising Cane's Center!
I'm thinking Capital One Arena as well.
It starts with a C and is not a bank...
Computrols? I can't think of anything local that starts with a C...
not a cable company or a bank, not a tech company or big AG.
What if it's Chouest Arena or something? I'm sure that shipping company has earned considerable bank. And Gary was going to be owner...
Edison Chouest Arena does have a good ring...
Carnival Cruise
I know this is so 90's but
Compuserve Arena ?
Remember the old school way of getting on to the internet?
The article is mostly a review of the Forbe's team valuation and how Benson has benefitted, but check out the paragraph he casually throws in near the end:

The key question is to who?
I would expect an announcement very soon.
Welcome to the Capital One Arena
Here's a name that you guys haven't mention that's a C word,
CRYSTAL (as in "The Crystal Hot Sauce Arena")
Which is embarrassing!
For the record, I'm just playing along so don't take me serious on this foolishness!
I'd rather something more respectable and non Bayou related, like the 'Mercedes SuperDome' for example.
I hope it's the Pepsi arena.
Cane's Center
one word.
Wing Shack or Cajun's Arena!!
Chevron pavilion
