Hopefully, Washington is going to take him.

I think they will to keep John Wall happy

I might not be able to sleep tomorrow night if we take Bennett.

Because of how terrible of a pick it would be ? Me too
-
Ive said this before and still believe Anthony Bennett will be the best player to come out of this draft.

Yes. But now that I think of it, I know Dell would pick him for a reason; so maybe it wouldn't be too bad. (This is I trying to talk myself into what could happen.)

Unless ad's moving to the 5 this season this would not be a good move imo. Not unless he shocks the world and can guard 3's on a regular basis.

I think Bennett would play as one of our 2 big men. Isn't he like 261 now?

Stole this from another thread, but one certain Western conference GM thinks he will be a superstar.

yeah his weight reportedly shot up due to his injury and not being able to work out. I wouldn't mind picking bennett but only if your playing ad at the five. But idk if ad is ready for that challenge this early in his career.

Why couldn't he workout again? His legs are fine.

He's hurt

So a shoulder injury is a legitimate excuse for him to gain 18 pounds?

When did I say that?

You came up the excuse for him being hurt as the reason why he couldn't work out. That's implying it.
-
I mean gaining 20 pounds whether hurt or not is a head scratcher. But maybe it was because of the traveling and not being able to workout as much as he should. He should still be able to run but no treadmill's lol

Not even close. You asked why he didn't workout. I merely said that he's hurt so he couldn't workout with us.
-
I'd sleep just fine if we took Bennett lol
-
Would rather get him than Burke and Porter, so I wouldn't mind.

We're not on the same page then. I was talking about cardio.

Alright, when you said "workout," I thought you meant like Draft Workout.
-
If the other 5 are gone, I could live with Bennett for sure. He may end up being the best player in this draft. I'm now on the CJ McCollum bandwagon, so I'd rather him. I think McCollum fits better with Austin Rivers than Trey Burke does. We are taking the best available player on our board no matter what position he plays. It's all about collecting assets in the NBA and you want to collect the most that you can!

This is my mindset going into tomorrow. I'd like Burke, Oladipo, or Len, but I trust Dell to make the right decision because he's got about a .900 batting average at least so far as GM.
-
I'm happy whoever we draft.

I'm excited because it sounds like Dell has a plan.

You ever tried running with a shoulder injury? It hurts like hell

He's already started lifting again. I don't think running is going to kill him.

What's the rush?

Now what if Anthony Bennett looks like a beast this season for us off the bench. Then at the deadline we can trade him and Eric Gordon for a star that demands a trade or some team would love to add those two?!?!?
-
Another 4? yeah they "say" he can play the 3... but not in the NBA.

So he backs up AD? When does Ryno get in?
-
Bennett might play the 3 in some sets (since both he and RYNO can shoot with range, it would have a different dynamic than the Jefferson/Favors/Millsaps set in Utah) but I don't see him ever starting at the 3. I do think he and Davis can play together long term if it comes to that. Davis IMO is going to play a lot of minutes at center going forward. It's a waste to have a shotblocker like that chasing stretch fours around half the time.

AD can play center with Bennett at the four. AD, Ryno, & Bennett can play together too in some sets. I think he can play small forward. Some nights playing AD and Ryno may be tough to play together, so we play AD & Bennett instead. It doesn't sound like that will make a difference cause we will take Burke. So if Rivers starts lighting it up, how we gonna play him, Gordon, Vasquez & Burke. Say we take McLemore or Oladipo, how will he, Gordon, Rivers, Vasquez, and whoever we get to play small forward play their minutes. You make it work with whoever we take at 6, that's how.
-
Who says he won't get traded if they somehow pick him?....
-
I think Bennett will be the best player in this draft, reminds me of Larry Johnson. With that said I still don't want to draft him, I'm content with AD and Ryno
-
Plus I didn't see AD and Jason Smith play the whole season last year. Robin Lopez is known for getting beat up too. You can never have enough players much less big men.
-
if bennett can truely play the SF he's my guy, but i dont think he can.

He absolutely believes that he can. Does that count?

He'll say whatever teams want to hear in order to get selected higher.
-
You guys seem to forget another strong possibility ... we have a trade ready for him if he falls to 6.
It does look unlikely but getting a promess from us is weird to begin with. Who knows with Demps ...
-
i still wish we could just trade gordon to pheonix for the 5th pick.

I've been saying the same thing. Him being 15lbs overweight has changed me mind just a bit tho. I def think he has the most upside of any of these guys in this draft. If anything I was hoping he lost 15lbs lol. I'd like for him to be able defend the 3 some. Not saying he still can't but not lookin good on that front.

Here is the interview yesterday where Bennett says he will go 1-6 and dont see himself falling passed 6. Question asked at 1:55

I'm wishing with you.

I watched dude highlights and he plays, IMO like a young Z-BO....... So explain to me why shouldn't we get this guy again? Cause AD isn't ready to play Center?

Probably because he also ACTS like a young Z-Bo lol I wouldn't mind it if he was the pick though or if we trade him afterwards.
