Celtics-Clippers Rumor/CP3 drama

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Celtics and Clippers are talking about a deal that would involve the following:

Celtics Receive:
-DeAndre Jordan
-2 1st round picks

Clippers Receive:
-Doc Rivers
-Ty Lue (Ast. Coach)
-Kevin Garnett

Supposedly, Ainge wants Bledsoe. If he gets Bledsoe, I assume Rondo would be on the block...

I think it's because Rivers has a non-compete cause on his contract. Otherwise Rivers would buy his contract out and then sign to the clippers.

Can we merge this thread with the Doc Rivers thread?

Why would anyone would to take on Deandre Jordan? Isn;t he getting paid around $10 million?

This is why the Celtics are utterly screwed. Pierce has fallen off. KG is a shell of his former self and Rivers knows the end is nigh so he's already looking elsewhere. Which means Rondo is probably on the outs too. It'll soon be Jeff Green and Avery Bradley. Though if things break their way, they might get Wiggins.

Maybe we should help facilitate this move? Throw in Greivis and Lopez to get Bledsoe.

Actually, latest seems to be that Clips prefer to keep Bledsoe out of the deal. I would get involved and give Boston Vasquez for those two 1st round picks the Clippers are putting in the package.

Picks wouldn't both be this year. Would be 2013 and 2015

Celtics will be in rebuild mode, so I doubt they'd move those 2 1sts for Vasquez

Not sure if this is even possible salary wise, but then we could take Cody Zeller to be Anderson's replacement in the draft at 6.

Bledsoe is busy in 2 other rumors, Blake and Bledsoe for Dwight and the previous Bledsoe for Afflalo rumors.

Clippers going to have to do something with Griffin for this to work.

I had a dream last night that clippers received our 6 th pick and timberwolves pick and we somehow got Bledsoe. My dream trades are quite reliable considering I had a dream last year that we got ryno and 2 months later it happened :):)

Doc wants to coach Bledsoe so he's advising that they keep him, apparently. There's also a rumor that the Clips are offering Bledsoe/Blake to the Lakers for Dwight in a sign and trade.

Vasquez isn't on anyone's radar. I don't know why he keeps getting thrown into these armchair gm trades.

I have a feeling we are going to get mixed in with this somehow.

Not sure why we can't throw some rumors out there that CP is looking to play back in NO and DH will come with him. move lopez, trade vasquez and do some sign and trade.

there is nothing i would love to do more then facilitate a trade here and acquire some draft picks / young assets in exchange for some bad 3-4 year contracts. yeah we probably suck *** and tank but we establish a very clear window in which we plan to make our run and hopefully that will keep up the spirits of the core and give them a real goal to work to.

Looks like the Deal hinges on whether L.A. would include Bledsoe. Looks like the Celtics are going to stay firm.

If Boston blows up I would take rondo and or Green.

Doc has already notified the Clippers that he doesn't have interest.

Doc could easily tell Celtics he'll go do TV next year and the Celtics get nothing.

If Doc leaves, KG could very easily retire. He's made several hundred million over his career and it's known he's contemplated retirement. If KG retires, Celtics get nothing.

Doc and KG have some leverage if they want out. Jordan and 2 1st rounders is probably enough, or Celtics could end up with nothing.

Yeah the team is getting to the point of where try néed to start thinking of the future and they started with last years draft in Sullinger and Fab. I just think they can get better deals individually instead of that package deal. And it was just one pick the Clippers offered. That makes me :/

I think the clips/lakers sign and trade is more likely than the celtics/clips trade scenario.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the talks between the Clippers and Celtics have stalled, plus the sign and trade for Howard was "flatly rejected" by the Lakers.

My guess is that the Clippers and Celtics will make a deal in the next two days without Bledsoe being involved. The second first rounder may get it done, with the possible addition of another role player.

I'm sorry but you misread it, it says that the Clippers informed Rivers that they don't want to take the Celtics offer, there is no word about Rivers not willing to coach there.

This story reminds me the CP3 trade. At first, Clippers didn't want to include Gordon in the pakage and prefer to put Bledsoe in. A week before the trade it was said that the clippers were done, that's just how you bargain.

About the lakers trade, I have doubts. I don't see the clippers giving up on Griffin, he's still young, very marketable and I don't see the appeal to give him to their nemesis. They'll be better with Howard at Houston and Griffin home, mostly because the lakers will be screwed.

And don't forget one thing, they still can create cap space to sign Howard. They already have the Odom expiring contracts and if they manage to get rid of Butler (using Bledsoe + draft picks) that's enough to resign CP3, sign Howard and keep Griffin. I think that's why they don't want to include Bledsoe in the celtics's deal, he's a player that could allow them to have DH.

If this happens, CP3's chances of staying in Clipperlabd become a virtual lock. Him and Howard would easily take a pay cut to make it happen.

Clippers big 3 will consist of Paul, Howard, and Girffin. Plenty of star ally-op potential, but uh what else besides that?

ainge should just take butler, bledsoe & a pick, for doc, garnett and either lee or terry

CP3 is not going anywhere...Dude likes LA. But what does concern me is D12 going to H-town.

I wonder if Doc is keeping Bledsoe to trade to us for his son. I want to keep rivers personally. Just a thought.
