Since we pick 6th I son't want to be forced to take a guy like Len. Hope dipo falls.

6 is where everyone expected us to pick. Get over it. :) Look forward to workouts.

Why would we? Worst case we get "stuck" with Bennett and have to move Ryno.

Someone will take Bennett top 5 guys. Dipo/Burke/Porter will be there.

Trey Burke-a-thon live in effect. The only problem will be Magic @2. I think Cavs take Porter 1st overall. Magic go Noel Wiz go Bennett Cats go McElmore Suns go Oladipo.

I called the Wiz 3rd in over on Bourbon Street Shots. Lucky guess.

If we end up with Burke Bazz or Saric im not complaining. On the bright side less money is guaranteed...

I thought the Pelicans had the 5th spot before the lottery?

Everyone talks about the big 5 in this draft, but I disagree. I think there is a big 6.

Noel, McLemore, Porter, Burke, Oladipo, and Bennett. I'm satisfied.

I think either Burke or Olidipo will be there at 6. If Burke, I'd like to trade down with Detroit or the Jazz go for Caldwell-Pope. If Olidipo, take him. I guess I'm looking at depth behind Gordon.

Not as strong or explosive or good as scorer, but more of a natural PG. Both are equal shooters. Neither are good defenders.

11.9 and 7.8 in 27 min on 8 shots. Played in the NIT on a fractured ankle still made it to NY. Those great moments you saw could come more often than you think.

I think Bennett is a top 6 player in this draft, he is just a terrible fit for the Pels. Hopfully someone will grab him and leave us with Porter (doubtful), Oladipo, or burke.

Now the frustrating thing will be if one of those guys is there and then the Pels go for someone else like Len (who isn't bad, just not as good as the three I listed).

Read a report couple weeks back that they love him and would have taken him with the 1st overall pick.

There's 5 guys I like and we're picking 6th. Hopefully the other GMs don't see it the same.

2. Oladipo
3. Burke
4. McLemore
5. Porter

Then I guess Shabazz :/ Hopefully someone bites on Bennett or another in front of us

Do you mean he is not as good for the Pels or generally not as good as the other players? The reason I'm asking is because Burke, Oladipo, Porter, and Len all play different positions. The Pels really can't go wrong in this draft. It truly is a crapshoot. No need to be disappointed when so many positions could be filled on this team.

Why in the world would anyone want to draft Bennett and trade Ryno. He's our 2nd best player behind Davis and if you take contracts into account he's almost on par with Kevin Love. I hope the guy retires here. If you have a stretch 4 you don't just move him because you "project" a rookie to do something.

Pels will have a shot at Burke but does Burke trump the need for an athletic center? We have 2 guys that can start at the point (GV and Austin), but do we really want to see Lopez starting at the 5 again?

Just because a player can "start" doesn't mean he's the best option. If you think Burke is the answer at that position you take him and worry about finding a center or small forward later.

Lopez at the 5 is not the worst thing. You take the better player and to me Burke is that player when compared to Len (a big man needing surgery for a stress fracture in his ankle) or the other centers available at 6 (unless you are convinced that Zeller can become a dynamic starting 5).

I understand that's how you feel. And I feel Len is the better prospect. I would rather him get the surgery to get it corrected properly than to take the chance on it healing on its own and it being a lingering problem. I could be wrong, you could be wrong, it will be awhile before we find out.
