I love Spurs games. We play each other tough.

When will Gordon start seeing increased minutes? I thought we would have seen it by now but he's still getting in the late 20's early 30's.

Wow! Pretty big news for tonight's game. Both players are important to what Popovich does. If AD plays, he should do well w/out a guy like Duncan on him. And the absence of Leonard's 3pt shooting will force Stephen Jackson to play more minutes.

Gary Neal is a good 3pt shooter too. I don't know how many minutes he's been getting lately though. Does Neal come in when Danny Green takes a seat?

You aren't. Only thing he's not doing is the things he's not good at, namely shooting, ball handling, and passing. He's doing EVERYTHING else well. Couldn't be more pleased with him. Tough love seems to have done the trick.

Monty really knows how to get the best out of his talented players on the wing it seems.

if he could just SOMEHOWWWWW develop even just a mid range jump shot, he would be an all star.

Monty benching Aminu was a brilliant move in the end. Showed his *** that no matter how the team is doing he should be running hustling and playing D on every play or he won't play at all. Beautiful move.

While Monty may not be the best in-game HC in the league, he is certainly elite when it comes to developing players. I just hope Aminu remembers who got the most out of him and who stuck by him when it comes time for FA.

I'm 99.999% sure you are thinking of Chris Kamen.. He was very vocal about being blind sided by the trade to New Orleans. iirc, he said he was in the front offices two week prior to the trade being told that he was in LA long term and the team was commited to him being a cornerstone of the franchise.

Yea he was pissed.. Never said anything bad about New Orleans or that he didn't want to come, just felt lied to and betrayed by the Clippers. Gordon had similar comments, but never as vocal as chewy. Aminu iirc was pretty silent and accepting of the situation.

Disagree with the bold. I've noticed since last year that Aminu is actually a fairly willing/smart passer, especially when driving and dumping off. IIRC Rohan from At the Hive just did an article that mentioned Aminu having an above average assist rate for his position this season.

The only guy who was upset about getting shipped out of L.A. was Gordon. Aminu didn't show any emotions and Kaman seemed very happy at the time.

I think it was Kaman who said the Clippers didn't tell him anything. He said his agent didn't even call him about the trade.

We've played well against the Spurs this year. Should be another battle

I actually look forward to Joel Meyers and David Wesley commenting on the Press Release tomorrow. At least in a speculative form or their opinions on the Hornets Brand. Granted, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't mention it at all tonight, but we shall see...

I expect to kill them on the boards.. without Duncan AND Leonard, I think they'll struggle holding back Aminu and Davis. They're already horrible at grabbing 2nd chance points, and are losing by far their best defensive rebounder. Lots of possessions for us me thinks.

I feel optimistic about tonight.

I like Aminu but I do think you can find someone who's defensive impact is close to what Aminu does and has a better offensive game.

Corey Brewer?

I always worry about the Spurs dropping 20 3's on us. If we can dominate the glass tonight we're gonna take it though.

Sure, but then we'd really suffer on the boards. Gordon, Brewer, Anderson and Lopez are all poor defensive rebounders.

You win some and you lose some. I'm 100% sure Monty and company would take Brewer over Aminu every day of the week.

Though admittedly Brewer wouldn't be my first choice.

Spurs without Duncan, Parker, and Ginobli gave Miami a scare earlier this year. They are never an easy out, despite who they have on the floor.
