So that means we won't have him the next time we play the Clippers. :help:

Jason Smith will miss up to 2 weeks due to a shoulder sprain. Monty said he hurt it trying to block a Kevin Durant dunk Wednesday
Wow this sucks for Smihtty - love his passion and energy. Sure he'll bring it on the bench though.
Who backs up Lopez?
Smith is saying he has a torn right labrum.

New Orleans Hornets forward Jason Smith suffered structural damage in his right shoulder when he blocked an attempted slam dunk by Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant with 10:01 remaining in the fourth quarter of Wednesday night's 92-88 loss against the Thunder.
The team said prior to Friday night's 113-102 defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves that Smith would be out at least two weeks.
But Smith said Friday night that possible surgery to repair the damage has not yet been ruled out.
"We took an MRI (Friday) and it's bad news; bad news," Smith said. "Did some damage. Labrum tear. (Surgery) is still up for debate. We'll have to weigh the options and go forward from there."
Earlier this season, Smith sustained a subluxation of his left shoulder, a separation that pops back into place without severe damage.
Though that injury was painful, he said, the discomfort is nowhere near what he's feeling now.
"I didn't even feel it the next day," Smith said, referring to his condition on Thursday after the Hornets returned from OKC. "I don't know what happened in that time period. We had a day off (Thursday) and it felt OK, a little sore. But it just locked up on me (Thursday) night.
Pro-tanking crowd is rejoicing.

What do the fan favorites of the Saint and Hornet have in common?
Jason Smith just can not shake the injury bug. He's having a tough time staying healthy in his short career even in limited minutes. I hope this isn't too serious.
Eh if he needs surgery i imagine its more then 2 weeks.
he might be out for the season if he needs surgery
Torn labrum is a big deal. I don't think we'll be seeing him again this season.
Rotator cuff? I like the guy and his effort but he is a foul machine who can't shoot. Many times during a game when we need a bucket he throws a brick. His defense strategy is foul early and often.
Hassan Whiteside anyone?
Smith talks about his shoulder. Sounds optimistic.

New Orleans Hornets injured forward Jason Smith may return this week

"I imagined he will be back sometime this week depending on what I’ve seen,'' Williams said.
Awesome.
MAYBee a full team for the first time this season.
Touch wood.
I tore my Labrum and Rotator cuff much longer than 2 weeks unless he is superman. he will definitely be out for the season if he requiers surgery. I would love to take a shot on Whiteside he could be a good fit in spot minutes next to Davis. I think he still has potential with the right team.

Monty on status and eventual return of Jason Smith (shoulder): "He went through a good workout today. We’ll see where he is tomorrow.”
Good news ! :)

#Hornets Jason Smith upgraded to QUESTIONABLE for tomorrow night vs Toronto Raptors. He's missed seven games due to shoulder injury.
Wow, has it really already been seven games?
