Ryan Anderson: a liability?
We seem to not miss Anderson's presence. I looked at the games played by Anderson when the PELS won or lost. I don't have numbers to post but he takes a lot of shots in these games we have lost and he has a low percentage in those games. That's life and there's more to the story.
Do y'all remember games where Ryno tried iso and would do his awkward turnaround jumper which he'd take with 3 seconds left on the shot clock? Also, he'd play very poor defense and he may be injury prone and he might not be the same since the neck injury.... I see him as a great 3point specialist and excellent offensive rebounder. A good teammate. A good contract. But there's a few problems.... Could he be slowing the PELS down or limiting the team by taking poor shots and draining the clock not playing team ball? The team plays great without him. Ryno is unathletic and plays poor defense. He's a PF which is not a strong need for us. We need help in other areas.seems to me that Gordon is shooting a lot more in Ryno's absence. Gordon is playing great and he can score as much as Ryno. The big difference for me is that Gordon makes GREAT passes and is more of a clutch performer. Passing is huge.
I think we should trade Anderson in offseason. I think when he returns we need to limit his minutes. He's got to be more team-focused and take less iso plays. What do y'all think?
Ryan Anderson: a liability?
I honestly like Ryan Anderson as a player and locker room guy. I also think we could trade Ryan Anderson, Asik, and Eric Gordon. We use the cap space/MLE to sign or receive in trade a starting SF, Starting bruiser type center (Ajinca starts when not facing big center), a backup shooting guard, and backup power forward. I don't see those 3 guys being on the team when we make a deep run in playoffs. I honestly think AD develops a 3 point threat later in his career. I should say a 3 Pt threat where he can make one if he is wide open so you have to respect it.
