The NBA has suspended the season.

For clarification, I have no idea what this means with regards to tonight's game, or when the season will return, or even if it will return this year.

Rudy Gobert continues to be the LAMEST dude in the League.
Consider that the trigger for this is Rudy Gobert being confirmed with Coronavirus, days after purposefully touching every microphone and recorder from every journalist in a postgame thing, as a joke.
Rudy Gobert, after all the whining for all star games and DPOY awards he didn't win, is officially confirmed as the league's lamest idiot.
This dude was touching everything to.
It means they are no longer playing. Don't expect this to get better any time soon.
Well yes it means they're no longer playing. The question is, for how long? When they restart, do they pick up where they left off, and we end up finishing the season in July or something? Or do they just leave it as a Dead Year In NBA History and start next year as normal? Do we do a playoffs in the summer based on where teams are ranked now?
These are the questions, not if they're going to keep playing or not.
That said, according to Andrew Lopez, tonight's Pels Kings game will go ahead as planned, and may be the last NBA game played for a while.
it didnt make sense to me to play games with out fans but let the players play knowing they are also at risk....
I'm told as of now the Pelicans and Kings are still playing tonight

i think they will take the top 8 teams in their conference at this time and resume for the playoffs....
We are at least a year to 18 months from any potential vaccine. There are no treatments. We have sat on our hands when the extreme measures China took bought us a little time. We did nothing with that time. The USA is 11 days behind Italy in terms of first community spread cases. In about 10 days many hospitals will be overwhelmed. This is going to be a nightmare.
Mark Cuban going all out on this one.
You can’t risk it. The NBA is doing the right thing as much as this upsets me. Especially now that a player is infected.
Gentry gets spared another season?
I’m hoping those microphones he touched got burned
The NBA plans for this to be a hiatus.... the season will hopefully resume at some point in the near future once the threat of Corona Virus has been contained/resolved. The @PelicansNBA are working closely w/ the NBA & will address fans as they learn more in the next day or so.

Personally, I think "near future" is optimistic for a containment but there you go
I could see them playing out the season if this only lasts one month....possibly two. Extending the finals to right before NFL kickoff. Too much money for everyone. If it goes two to three months, just playoffs. Any longer and everyone just ends up a wash.
This is some freaky time.
In other news, I'm more focused on being the father of six kids and trying to make sure we have enough ******* TP. Maybe have to switch to bidets.
Strange times we're living in, fam.
Aslong as the Lakers dont win a ship..They can cancel it to ******** off AD and lebron
Big group hug, fellas. Bring it in.
We could always get a member to finish the season on 2K game. How about Sim league?
Earlier tonight, before the NBA announced the season was supsended, Jaylen Brown went on IG live to talk about coronavirus: “This is urgent. The way they stop viruses is by shutting things down.” pic.twitter.com/0rm2Y7UxzC

Smart, measured commentary from Jaylen Brown. Brown is VP of the NBAPA, just for those who may not know.
Overall a very serious situation, but Gobert’s antics at the recent presser look very silly now....I hope he hasn’t “non-hacked” anyone in the past few games.....
And the concern grows as teams that have played the Jazz in the last 10 days have been told to self quarantine. https://t.co/u4evw5E7BO

Let's just declare the Bucks the 1994 Montreal Expos now.

I was not expecting something like this to happen.. :idoh:
The 30 for 30 on this is going to be insane!

Utah Jazz not going anywhere anytime soon?
Results on the Jazz players' tests should be available in roughly four hours. Plans are being made for the Jazz players to stay overnight at the arena. Other team personnel is still being tested at the team hotel.

Planning an escape
Reporting with @wojespn: Nurses have finished testing Jazz players who were at the arena and will process it overnight. For now, players are staying at the arena and aren't permitted to fly home. They're exploring chartering buses to get team back to Utah.
