Here we go, time to find out what's what.
Whassup
Wasup Madafaka!
We definitely jumping in the top 4 because it's the lakers pick
Just did one spin on Tankathon:
1. Detroit
2. Pels
3. Indiana
4. Sacramento
Gimme your one spin results!
I did 10 spins on Tankathon earlier today. Got us in 8th 6 times, 9th twice, 4th once, and 2nd once.
Likeliest outcome is 8th, and I'm fine with that - obviously would not turn down a leap into the top 4 but I'm cool if it doesn't happen.
1. OKC
2. Washington
3. Indiana
4. Sacramento
Houston. Orlando, and Detroit, (currently one, two, and three) all fall out of top four.
NOP = 9th Pick
Just ran Tankathon 10 times:
3, 8, 8, 10 , 4, 4 ,1 , 9, 8
Moved up 40% of the time
I started my draft stuff late this year - I usually put a lot of focus in the entire year but life occurred and I didn't really pick it up properly until about 7 or 8 weeks ago. So my board will still be changing probably until the day of the draft.
But right now my 7-12 positions are looking something like
- Dyson Daniels
- Ousmane Dieng
- Johnny Davis
- Bennedict Mathurin
- Tari Eason
- Jeremy Sochan
In some kind of order. Yet to firmly decide which.
My top 4 are Chet, Ivey, Banchero, Jabari, in that order.
If we stay 8th or 9th, hopefully someone goes early on Juren, pushing more wings back to us
I like the mock part of the link. Results on truthful one spin:

My one and only spin had us getting the 4th pick. In that case, I hope we give strong consideration to Sharpe over Ivey.
My first and only lottery sim spin of the year:
PICK TEAM RECORD WIN% GB STREAK L10 TOP 4 #1 OVR

1. Portland
2. Orlando
3. OKC
4. Houston
Pels 8th pick -> OKC's pick was their own, not the Clippers
My only try I got:
1. Orlando
2. Portland
3. Washington
4. Houston
Pels fell to 9th. Wouldnt be the worst non Pels top 4 outcome IMO. Really just rooting against OKC moving up with the LAC pick and/or the Knicks moving up with the pick we would have had. I will be fine with 8 or 9, as long as the top 4 isnt like all Western Conference. Most interesting, just for a thing to talk about over next month, would be if the Pels get 4th. So many non ideal, yet very good, options there
Sorry, but does anyone know where you can see the draft order as it happens?
Say it now --
If I could promise you #8 right now and 3 of the top 4 are Eastern Conference teams (Kings get #3), would you take it or roll the dice?
Totally good with #8. Daniels or Socahn, lets go
well shucks
3 of the top 4 are WC. Not great. But honestly, none of those teams should pass the Pels with the head start the Pels have plus the 8th pick.
Not bad...at least we didn't move back
Didn’t think we’d be up there. So be it.
That's fine. For some reason I had a feeling we'd get 9 or something. Still should be a promising wing left by the 8th pick.
Who are we taking with the 8th pick ?
Ugh OKC
Danggitttt. Better than moving back lol or not having it at all.
Griff sells this pick or buys?
Sacramento gets to draft their umpteenth wing
1. Magic - Paolo
2. OKC - Chet
3. Rockets - Jabari
4. Kings - Sharpe
5. Pistons - Murray
6. Pacers - Ivey
7. Blazers - Duran
8. Pelicans will a lot of options on the board. And honestly, I think there is a path to get up to #4 if you want to be bold to get your top guard.
Man, I wanted Shaedon Sharpe
SO, open the war chest a bit to get the player you covet?
I think the 3 bigs go in some order in the top 3. And those teams wont be willing to trade out. I think you can get from 8 to 4. I think a lot of teams will have 4-8 or 9 in the same tier. Would you guys give up our 2023 pick (that has the ability to swap with the Lakers) to go from 8 to 4? What if the cost is more than that? Would you be willing to give up that Lakers 2024/25 pick to go from 8 to 4?
I think I would give up next years pick for sure. The Lakers pick? They gotta give me a little sweetner back. Like 8, Lakers pick, Temple and Graham for 4 and Harrison Barnes
I think that Lakers 2024/25 pick is seen as one of the most prized assets in the league, if you want to part with it. Griff puts that on the table, and he can get any guard he wants in this draft. Or Murray. And I am sure he would offer it for Jabari, I just dont think any of the top 3 trade out regardless of what is offered. Unless it is within the top 3. Historically, teams dont trade out of top tier and I think the consensus will be a three man top tier come June
The only guy I’d move up for is Sharpe. If the Pels think he’ll be a star then you go get him. Sharpe, Ingram, and Zion could potentially be special. I’d take Maturin if we stay at 8.
Our two biggest weaknesses are perimeter defense and perimeter offense. Assuming we keep the pick which player best addresses each need?
so is Sacramento starting to get dangerous, or nah?
