November 1st - New Orleans Pelicans @ Portland Trailblazers - 4-3
Two losses in a row. Oof.
Tonight we make our return to Portland for the first time since we swept them on their home court in games 1 and 2 of the playoffs. Unfortunately, we'll probably be making this return without Anthony Davis (Questionable) and definitely without Elfrid Payton (out).
This is kind of upsetting, if only because if we lose tonight, you know that the last smouldering flicker of hope in the hearts of Rondo fans everywhere will come to life, and we'll get told how we swept them when he was here in the playoffs and now we're losing to Portland without him. It won't make any sense, but that will not stop them.
Still, AD might play, and if he does, I think we have a decent shot to win this one. Jrue can still clamp Dame down harder than anyone in the league, and if AD is playing he'll be the best player on the court by a mile. So we definitely have the chance, especially with out bully-ball interior style of play (should we do the wise thing and return to it).
Let's look to get a W on the road here! #DoItBig
