Sorry if already posted.

New Orleans Pelicans President Dennis Lauscha said they are actively trying to secure a naming rights deal for the New Orleans Arena and several companies have expressed interest.
It's what happens when Benson runs the show!
Capital One make it happen
The Louisiana Seafood Arena Seasoned by Zataran's OR BUST
Mercedes Benz Arena, think of the giveaways:cool:
Cadillac Arena?
That might not be that farfetched. Both teams owned by the same guy, cross-promotion opportunities for MB...and heck they could market the whole area as the Mercedes-Benz Sports & Entertainment Complex or Mercedes-Benz Square, something along those lines...
Just simply known as "The Benz"
Good thing someone asked that questions on the conference call.
I wonder when the story about them not pursuing a D-League team will come out.
The Blue Plate Arena?
I recently learned that "Alcatraz" means pelican by way of spanish, by way of arabic. They were all over that island before the prison got built and thus the name.
That would be cool if Mercedes woul name the arena and call it a complex.
I doubt it will be Mercedes. The exec at M-B that benson dealt with is no longer there, and if they were interested in the Arena, it would already be done.
I still think it's an International Airline - in particular Qatar, Emirates or Etihad. They are all fighting for market share here in the US and have a ton of cash. They already have the naming rights for several stadiums around the world. It doesn't matter if they don't fly here. M-B didn't name the Dome because they sell a lot of cars here. 2014 All-Star Game is broadcast globally.
From waaaay back when:
I've also seen Emirates out there on a couple of occasionsQuote:
The conspiracy gets louder...
OK, so I am hitting golf balls out at the St. Rose Driving Range this afternoon and as I slice my drive into the net, I notice a familiar 777-300 landing from the west. What the heck???? There is no reason for that to be landing here...
Hey wait a minute, my suggestion was this for an arena sponsor:

Think Global
and this was out at MSY tonight - coincidence? I think not:

Global
It makes sense, 2013 Super Bowl, Saints Primetime games (think blimp shots), young exciting Hornets team in a booming city, 2013 Womens Final Four, 2014 NBA All-Star game, probably a few more like NCAA regionals at some point.
It's a 1st-Class airline too...fits well with M-B Superdome
I won't ask for a commission, just some Pelicans gear and Anthony Davis jersey for my 6-year old daughter.
Heck, with all of the Faker fans that show up to the Nest, Turkish Airlines might be a fit. They just added a daily flight out of Houston too...so you never know. I am taking that flight later this fall too, so they've got one customer here.

Tabasco Arena sounds so cool. The McIlhenny company needs to fork over the funds! I know Tabasco is highly recognized but a little more recognition won't hurt.
All-State Center FTW!
Not pursuing.
They do currently lose money for most teams and on top of that, other than having your own coaches in place there isn't too much benefit to owning a team since you don't own rights to the players you develop unless they're already on your roster. Teams are starting to use DLeague more so I think in the next CBA they may change the rules to make DLeague teams more useful, but the next CBA isn't coming until after the lockout/strike in 2017.
