Like i posted in League Chat, over it. Going to be taking a step back. Still going to play but i'm just over it.
Well I kept the Hornets under 120 both games (118 and 119) unfortunately I only scored 115 in both games...Webber had 50 and 58 in the losing efforts. Also lost to the Raptors which I'm not happy about won every category except FTs and had 5 more tos.
I know your not quitting but I hope ya don't take a step back, I'd have to say you're probably the most active player and I enjoy our Lakers Celts rivalry. It seems like you have a different superstar each year (Hill, Stack, Shaq, AI, Dirk) I think it just takes time sometimes. The team you had that lost as a 1 Seed was amazing that series was a fluke.
Bucks and Hawks are playing really good, i guess we have to give the toughest division award to Central this time
Keep building BSH, I don't mean to sound like a tool but to me it seems you have a lot more work to put into building a good team than you think you do.
I think BSH has built a really good team and deep too. Has to be a game plan issue.
Wow I went 5-2 this sim. Honestly didn't see that coming. I think those gameplan changes helped a lot.
Aw man, now that I've just about tossed in the towel for this season and tried to shop a few guys on the sly, my adjustments turn out to be good ones and they finally decide to start playing. :idoh:
And jeezum Quail, 10 straight?
you need patience with your team, look at the hornets, they suck during the first season but kept building around their core. The bucks got Arenas and was terrible for like two seasons, and look them now beasting it up
like what HornetsfaninKY said, you change your main guy every season and maybe the sim factors in team chemistry, and hey, youre still above .500!
I needed to do better than 4-2 in this sim. I had a favorable schedule, but had two lopsided home losses against the Suns and Warriors. The second half will be a struggle since the schedule has tons of road games.
Bucks are good. I need to change something
Think about it. Your two biggest stars are Dirk and Iverson. If we're talking about Dirk:
Dirk has a good outside game, but for a PF he is what? Probably average inside? According to the program there are 17 PF's with a better inside game than Dirk. At C you have Ben Wallace and Shawn Bradley, both poor inside offensive players. Bryant Reeves is actually the 18th best inside C in the program with a 65 overall, but he doesn't play. And I'm not saying he should, but it's just a thought. So you have a PF who is only average, and two C's who are well below average. Your inside game needs improvement.
Defensively, Dirk is the 38th rated PF at 67 overall. This may not be bad though, because Bradley and Wallace are the 12th and 13th rated C's at 85 and 83 overall. Reeves is so far down the list I won't even bother to count.
So what do you go with? Do you start Wallace or Bradley with Dirk and have a below average inside game and hope that one of those guys can make up for Dirks defense? Or do you start Reeves in hope that he can give you some added inside scoring, but at the cost of defense? You tried Harrington at C this past sim, and he's simply not a C.
And then you have your wings. I don't like Iverson at SG. Just way way way to undersized. I think Richardson may be out of place. I think Donyell Marshall is definitely out of place. Jason Williams might be good offensively for you but he's not a good defender.
I wouldn't go with Reeves at center. He started for me the last two seasons and he stunk offensively. Shot below 40% and was turnover prone. I would start Bradley at center. Also Marshall at SF.
He shouldn't press that much and maybe limit his trapping. I think Dirk's offense is fine and should be the go to guy. Also, his pace is too slow at very slow. Needs to speed it up a bit.
Wow, great sim.
Hollywood, take my team as an example. I tried something totally different than I have ever done and it worked very well. Never know what might happen when you mix things up.
