Well there goes my Dame Lillard 2021 dream now that he’s signed an extension. Go get Horford now for sure then. If he wants a 4 year $100 million dollar deal, I’d give him 3 years $90 million with that 3rd year being a $30 million team option. If he wants that 4th year I say thanks but no thanks. But we will give you $5 more millions a year if you go this route instead. You are 33 and we not looking to have a 37 year old making $25 million a year. If you want to win here with us, we gotta have some flexibility.
I’d have some incentive like if you play X amount of games with X amount of points per game we will guarantee that 3rd year
Just gonna put out a way-too-early prediction:
Lillard getting paid $54m at the age of 34 is going to be one of the most horribly bad-value years in recent NBA history.
Once free agency opens at 6 PM ET, Brook Lopez is planning to sign a four-year, $52M deal to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks, league sources tell ESPN.

As everyone expected.
Edit: And at literally half of what Horford is expecting.
I like Dame, and think he will age gracefully, alone, with no teammates because the Blazers can’t afford to pay anyone.
I think with the next CBA there will be another waiver period (where teams can waive one player) like there was after the last revision to the CBA back in 2011, and then who knows what will happen.
Kevin Durant is planning to sign with the Brooklyn Nets, league sources tell ESPN.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOJ
Kyrie Irving will soon meet to finalize a four-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets, with a fourth-year player option, league sources told @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium. Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie is expected to be part of the franchise’s pitch meeting for Irving tonight, sources said.

Sources: Kevin Durant is planning to sign a four-year, $142M maximum contract with Brooklyn.

And there's Shams with the numbers
Brooklyn is making a clean sweep tonight: Brooklyn will sign Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and DeAndre Jordan, league sources tell ESPN.

Nets for the 2021 championship lol
I wonder how that affects Kawhi and his decision. I hope he goes back to Toronto that would make the NBA really interesting...
KD/Kyrie
AD/Lebron
Kawhi with the current Champs
Steph/Klay/Green
Giannis and the Bucks
Harden/Corpse of CP3's knees
Other teams I'm not thinking of. Should be really fun.
I bet Langdon knows exactly whats going down in Brooklyn and maybe can make a play off of it. What, I have no idea but cant help but figure he has special knowledge.
Way too early hot take:
Despite acquiring KD, Kyrie, and Deandre Jordan in a single offseason, the Nets will not win a championship with any of those three players, and may even come to regret handing out these deals.
The Knicks went from Zion/AD, Kyrie, KD
To
RJ/ /
We're within 1 hours now.... Soon the witching hour will be here.
No surprise that KD is going with kyrie to Brooklyn.
I think this solidifies Russell going to the lakers. Unless the Lakers pull of a miracle of getting Leonard. I really hope Leonard does not go with the lakers tho. I have so much respect for him and I’d hate to see him join a super team.
Also, with the signing on the guy from Europe. I wouldn’t get my hopes up of any surprise moves in FA. I see us grabbing a shooter and maybe a middle of the road C.
Some Kings news...

Source tells @TheAthletic that Sacramento will finalize a four-year, $85 million deal with Harrison Barnes today. The deal declines annually, accounting for just 14% of the cap in the fourth year.
Harrison Barnes continues cashing those ''being a reasonable NBA talent with the bonus of being 6'8'" cheques.
Knicks fans right now? Well you got RJ at least.LOL
Free agent guard D’Angelo Russell said to now prefer #TWolves above all others. #NBA https://t.co/o3aiTcWlVO

The Kings are also expected to come to quick terms with Dewayne Dedmon on a three-year, $40 million deal when free agency formally opens. That deal has a partial guarantee in the third year.
— Sam Amick (@sam_amick) June 30, 2019
Presumably, this means Sacramento is OUT of the Al Horford talks.
Free agent Rudy Gay plans to sign a two-year, $32M deal to return to the San Antonio Spurs, league sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.
— Shams Charania (@ShamsCharania) June 30, 2019
Rudy Gay returning to San Antonio!
rozier to hornets, rudy gay to spurs
Seriously, with DeAndre Jordan going to Brooklyn? Jarrett Allen has to be expendable. He's a starting caliber 5. Go after him!
Lol at someone paying Terry Rozier $58m
Sources: The Boston Celtics are progressing towards a series of sign and trade deals to enable them to re-sign Al Horford, while also maintaining the full MLE.
— Keith Smith (@KeithSmithNBA) June 30, 2019
Note that this doesn't mean Boston WILL resign Horford. It just means they may be able to, if he's willing to return.
Side Note: Michael Jordan remains the NBA's worst ruling figure.
Won't pay Kemba Walker his full supermax, didn't trade him despite that, but will cough up SIXTY MILLION to Terry Rozier?!
How did Rudy Gay get 2yr/32m. That's some serious cash at his age.

— Hoop Central (@TheHoopCentral) June 30, 2019
You either pay Kemba the supermax or you trade him at the deadline. You do NOT just let him walk. If you're not going to pay him, you move him for assets.
And then after that complete blunder, letting their best player just walk away, Charlotte overpays for Terry goddamn Rozier.
Trash-heap franchise leadership.
