Gordon's heart is in Phoenix, his body is at the doctors, so what are the Hornets paying for?
Gordon's heart is in Phoenix, his body is at the doctors, so what are the Hornets paying for?
The answer is simple, NO!
I personally don't think a deal can be made this summer.
Either Gordon's going to kill his value or he'll raise it to the point where the Hornets don't feel the need to move him.
That doesn't do much to increase his value. You can say he's healthier, but what teams look at is on-court production and actually playing in games. If you don't trade him, you are obviously taking a risk with the knee, but it is a gamble small-market teams need to take. You have to hope he plays and plays well. In turn, that will increase his trade value and net us more in the long run.
I would love to trade Gordon for Klay Thompson but I don't know if the Warriors are going to do it. It would be nice to add him to the mix along with a scoring wing and a back-up scorer.
Thompson has 21 at the half.
Demps is a quiet operator. I'm ready to see a little surprise tomorrow.
Welp, We are stuck with Gordon.....

Somebody made that mess up lol. Oh well... all we can do is hope this dude's knee... and hand... and back... and the next 3 ailments all heal over the summer. What a drag.
Yeah reports on ESPN insider this morning are that no team wants Gordon. Can't say I blame them given his injury history and exhorbitant salary.
They'll all be sorry once Gordon turns healthy all of a sudden. Because of the magic of friendshi-
*projectile vomits*
Maybe that was the point, to show Gordon he's not viewed as an under appreciated asset oozing with potential. That no one else is interested.
How disappointing, hope we don't draft another guard or Eric will get his feelings hurt again. Maybe he can find his heart before the end of the season.
Deal with it. Gordon's a Hornet and will probably be a Pelican. I might have to avoid any threads with Gordon in the thread title from now on.
Yeah, they're called the Golden State Warriors. The leaks seemed to mostly benefit them trying to depress Gordon's already depressed value. If they want a closer, which makes sense if Jack is that guy for them now, then Gordon and a 1st for Thompson, Barnes and a bad contract is actually a decent deal for both sides. It just is a non starter in the middle of a playoff run because it guts the SF position for them. But this summer when you can trade them a lottery pick and they can sign a SF, it might make more sense, especially if they lose Jack to FA and have no closer on the roster.

There's also been trade speculation the Hornets had exploratory discussions with the Indiana Pacers, which would be Gordon's top choice because Indianapolis is his hometown. But sources indicate there have been no serious trade discussions between the Pacers and Hornets involving any type of trade deal.
Nobody wants this dude right now. It's like me buying a Polo with a stain on it for $80 but there is a possibility the stain can not be removed.
This all makes me wonder how the heck we ever traded Baron Davis back when he would never really play.
I dont think there was really serious talks like fans believe. a lot of this was heresy and what people thought the front office would be interested in. I dont think Demps would of showed his hand that quickly ( no one saw the Ryan Anderson trade for ayon coming). i dont mind gordon staying with us he is a good player better than most 2 guards out there on both sides of the ball. But if we trade him we will have a gm that will get the best deal and not settle for medicore players
Sometimes a GM has to do with he has to do though. Lots of times if you're dealing with a certain difficult situation, you won't get equal value for a player. Baron Davis for Speedy Claxton, and Dale Davis. :help: But the disgruntledness and distraction was gone and started us on our way to rebuilding with Chris Paul, David West.
Right. I just hope Dell can get Value for him and not rush the trade just to get rid of him. I'm also tired of the drama and Pelicans don't stress. When Gordon gets traded he should invest in a new PR team and his own personal Dr to help him stay healthy, but he needs a Dr like House or Doogie Howser because he needs miracle healing
im with you but, who really knows if Gordon is not happy here. all of this based on assumptions of fans. i can see if we had a major issure like when BD got into it with Byron Scott at practice. but thats not the case . if we can stop assuming and let the Pels do work i think we will have a great team no matter what happens. i guess if some of us dont assume we wont have much to text about.
You guys take this all too seriously if you really feel like this is a lot of drama.
Article on Gordon's recovery lasting over a year.
I wonder if the Hakim Warrick for Matt Carroll trade was our blockbuster for the year?
