I wouldn't put all my eggs with Rivers as a PG yet. That is also a big ? Him running that spot full time, 35 - 40 minutes per game is still at least 2 -3 years away IMO, and I was someone who wanted him to start there game 1 this year (didn't see GV as a starting point way back in July).

At this point it's an open spot to look to upgrade right now.

I know he isnt the definite PG for next season, but my point is he has a shot, while no one on our team does at SF at C, why not address the hopeless positions first??

I think someone already posted a thread about some chat with Demps that they are looking to upgrade that spot next season. That doesn't sound like they will look from within but I could be reading that wrong.

PG is a much bigger problem in my mind than SF. Aminu is an excellent defender and elite rebounder for his position. Vasquez shoots too much, lacks efficiency, lacks vision, and is a disaster on defense. I don't mean to put Vasquez down, but I think we'd be fine with Aminu if we had more scoring from the 1 and 5. To me the 1 and 5 are bigger problems than Aminu. It would be nice though to sign a 3 that can score as a complimentary player, or if Porter is the best on the board, then that's fine too.

Just a damn shame when it takes away from a good game. I can handle a loss. Hell, New Orleans fan since I could turn on the T.V. and watch my Saints get whooped game after game. But when refs step in, I lose interest.

U know whats cool about porter though? If he started over aminu, his offense would be better, it would make our team better by spacing the floor cuz people give aminu the 3 lol and also we wouldnt be losing anything defensively. Therefore Porter not only fits a position of need but makes the ENTIRE team better offensively without making it worse defensively. He's got my vote.

Aminu is a free agent this year, so yes, upgrading the sf position is a must before we work on upgrading the pg spot.

Me too, but Porter has to be available when we pick. So, let's see if it's even feasible.

Well there is no way we dont wind up with a top 5 pick in my opinion, and if mclemore, smart, porter, shabazz are gone I say without a doubt we draft Noel and sign a SF with all the money we have, maybe even 2 SF's, lets get corey brewer AND budinger, woohoo
