I agree but I still want Burke.
I know I'm going to get flamed for this comment, but he really reminds me of CP3.
As much as people hate him for leaving, it would be nice to replace him with the closest player in the draft.

Fair enough. I wouldn't mind taking Burke if elite ceiling players like McLemore, Noel, and Smart are off the board.
In my opinion, Porter makes the most sense fitting wise with our current core of Rivers, EJ, Anderson, and Davis.
Nevertheless, Demps will probably go BPA. As he should.
Agree in the nba u should always go BPA because u can trade, only time BPA doesnt matter is when u have 2 players graded the same, then u can kill 2 birds with 1 stone taking the BPA and filling a need, i see burke and shabazz both as this, grade them about the same and have a need for PG and SF
Phoenix, Sacramento, and Dallas are all winnable games. Phoenix is pretty much in tank mode losing their last 6 to teams like Minnesota, Washington, and Sacramento. It should be no different against the Hornets. The Kings game will be interesting as the Hornets are 2-0 against them this year. I'm sure they'll give the team a tough time in Sacramento. Dallas is 1-1 against the Hornets and playing against them in our final two games gives us a good shot at splitting those games.
I can see a 29-53 or 28-54. I hope 28 games is the most they'll win. As 29 wins makes things pretty complicated as I expect Toronto, Sacramento, and maybe Washington could be hovering around there if they decide to tank.
I think at the end of the day, we'll be somewhere around 6-8. I don't see any way we'll end up in the bottom 5 in the overall standings.
Man, the Cavs are in their annual tank mode. This is every year. Once they are out of it, it seems like they intentionally continue to lose. 10 straight now.
We are winning too many games now, when it doesn't matter playoffs wise. And we may finish with a late 10 pick... If we could still get Burke i would be ok.
The good point is we don't stablish a totally losing culture with that group.
No such thing as winning to many games.
I just hate the notion of "meaningless" games. Do you think they are meaningless to Davis, Miller, Aminu, etc? No, and probably a resounding no. They want to play well, learn the NBA, grow their skills, audition for a job, etc.
They need these games, and they want to win. Fans shouldn't root for losses. It's quite simple.
Agreed, and I don't. Kind of like not picking your own team in the March Madness brackets. If they win, bonus for you because your team advanced, but if they lose then you got it right :hihi:
Losing out while providing a fight is good enough for me (the ticket holder).
Does he need the minuets? Sure. But what if he gets injured in the process and we lose him to start next season? That would suck. Give him fewer minuets in these meaningless games.
So we are playing the what-if game now... okay cool. Yes, that would suck, but if we are going that route we should just sign d-leaguers to play our games. Gordon, vasquez, anderson, and davis should be resting if we played that game. Davis needs the minutes more than anyone on the team.
IMO, fans should want the team to get better. It's quite simple. What is meaningful to those guys is how they play, not whether the team won or loss. I would not try and throw a game, but as a fan, at this late stage of the season I would prefer they just play well and lose. I realize they cannot nor should not be able to control that, but that is my preference with less than 10 games to go and out of the playoffs.
hornets in sole possession of 6th worst, kings at 7th worst, Detroit at 5th worst.
Gordon and GV should sit tomorrow. Fif place here we come.
we are 1 game from being tied for 5th
Tomorrow is a huge game. Sacramento is going to lose out because their schedule is brutal after us. We need to lose, no question. Detroit could drop a few games because they play @Cleveland, vsCharlotte, vs Philly, and @Brooklyn (who might rest players for playoffs). If they lose a couple of those, we are in 5th place.
we have no gordon tomorrow and GV turned his ankle tonight so we should lose to the kings, and detroit has to win 1 game out of the 2 vs the cavs or bobcats
Vasquez said he is fine:
Saliendo para Sacramento! Gracias A Dios por que lo del tobillo no fue nada grave. Off to Sacramentos!! My ankle is ok nothing major.

It's that time of the year again lol
I really think the SAC will win their last game of the year against the Crappers.
Its at home, their last chance to play in front of their fans and more than likely players will be rested for the playoffs.
It still makes no sense.
I can step outside in a storm for one second and get struck by lightning but it's more likely to happen if I stand out in it for an hour. I could be on the freeway for half a mile and get nailed by an eighteen wheeler but with every additional mile I drive it grows more likely. It's pretty basicstatisticslogic.
Obviously more minutes -> more chances logically, but all I'm saying is that it doesn't always boil down to statistics. Like you said, you could never ride the bus in your life and the first time you step foot on one it drives off a cliff. You just never know and AD needs the experience.
Off topic, but I'm hoping the Kings stay in Sacramento. Sure, Seattle should have a team, but let them get one via expansion. I just hate to see cities lose their teams and Sac-town has been a really good basketball city for most of the time the Kings have been there. Now that they seem to have a comparable deal in place the team should stay there.
I actually agree with your conclusion. I don't want to sit Davis, either. Both because I think he's getting valuable developmental minutes (notice that his role on offense has been expanded a lot these last several weeks) and because I selfishly need a reason to GAF about tuning into the league pass package that gets me subtly nagged at on the 23rd of every month.
Just letting you know that basing the argument on the premise that a person is "just as likely" to get hurt in 10 minutes as in 30 minutes isn't a good way to go about framing it.
Not looking good for Sac-Town. Lost one of its key investors before the groups pitch.

Tied for 5th with Detroit
April 11th
I think 3 would be perfect, but 5 would be second-best. They'd have their pick of Oladipo or Burke or even Bennett at 5.
I don't know about you guys but I'm tired of talking about the draft from March through June. Can't wait until we make the playoffs an discuss who we'll play against.
fair enough.
