LoL yup this game is over! Watch what happens with this Joker #9..
Gobert >>>>>>AD
What we get Okafor for if we don't use him on the other team's center? Put him in move AD to PF and Miritc to SF. Big lineup gives us a chance to start games.
What a lazy ****** team.
Just because Rondo is not on the court does not mean the team has played through Jrue as the primary facilitator any time he is not.
This Finch system, by design, is meant to spread the duties of a primary facilitator to multiple people. Like what you had in Denver. This is partly why I think, and the numbers back this up, that Jrue has began to thrive this season. Instead of asking him to control the offense every possession, like happened under Monty, like was routinely happening under Gentry prior seasons, he is a cog in the wheel, which reduces the amount of responsibility and allows him to maximize his strengths and reduce his weaknesses. When he is hot, let him go to work, when he is a little colder, he gets moving off the ball for easy looks thanks to Cousins, Moore, Nelson, Rondo, AD, Clark and others moving the ball and getting him on cuts.
You know, you could be a good poster if you didn't try and talk like an ************** to everyone you speak to.Quote:
Do you watch the games?
Did Davis score the whole second half lol trashhhh
WTF is this? Jazz is taking our spot in the playoffs...
Should have traded the 1st for Favors (the player, not sexual ones)
Gotta stop playing like they’re scared. Attack the paint!
Hey, at least we didn't lose to the Jazz worse than Golden State did.
Just because Jrue is versatile and good off ball doesn't mean that's what he should mostly be doing. Jrue absolutely is the primary ball handler when Rondo is off the floor.. sure we run through AD and Cousins at times which I even said is best for Jrue.. that does not mean Jrue is best when playing off ball because he is mostly the ball handler with those units.. his game completely changes with Rondo off the floor with someone like Clark next to him mostly because he becomes the ball handler.. again do I think we need a guard who can share some of the duties? Yes but it doesn't have to be another PG.. Jrue is very good off ball but that doesn't take away from how good he is as the ball handler either.. you are putting him in a category only because he is so versatile.. no evidence to say Jrue is better off ball when I can see with my own eyes that the second Rondo leaves the floor his game changes for the better along with everyone else's.
So disappointing.

So far this season the team has been much better with Jrue as the primary ball handler and not Rondo.. Jrue has been much better as the primary ball handler then waiting for his turn with Rondo where credit to him he still plays well.. this isn't even up for discussion it's a fact.. again I would love to have someone that can share the back court with him but it doesn't need to be CP3 making Jrue play off ball majority of the game.. ideally it needs to be a guard like Fournier or CJ who can help take some pressure off of him.. even CP3 and Harden benefit from having help but that doesn't mean they are better off ball players.. we just need someone who can move the ball well and handle at times creating a little for others.. most importantly that guy needs to be able to score and defend..
We been what 1-6 without Boogie... ? woah. This is depressing, but expected. I honestly don't know if we can turn it around.

I completely agree.. I think best would be to move Miller into the lineup instead of Rondo.. pretty obvious and I would hope by now most agree with this.. I could understand the argument for Miller off the bench if our starting lineup was producing but it simply isn't.. we need to worry about the starting unit first and the bench later.. ideally we have someone other then Moore who can create a little better next to Jrue but he's still a very solid option.. in a perfect world Moore comes off the bench but as long as we have Hills contract on this team I don't think that will be possible.. we need another guard who can score and create for themselves next to Jrue.. that's what this team is missing.. another guy who can create their own shots and score.
Jrue currently is at 22% usage. The lowest of his career as a Pelican. His assist percentage, the amount of field goals a teammate is assisted by him when he is on the floor, is also at career lows. Which has also correlated to the second lowest turnover percentage of his career. While being his most efficient offensive season of his career with a TS% of .570. And we would consider this to be a breakout season for him.
Now my argument is that a large part of that, and Jrue has said as much in interviews, is that the team and system has reduced and altered the way they use him offensively. We have unequivocally reduced the load of responsibility Jrue has in facilitating the offense, with or without Rondo on the court. Sometimes Jrue is the primary ball handler, often when he is hot or other stars are getting rest, most times it is by committee, which is inherent to the Finch system we have adapted. So by simple deduction here, Jrue has been better playing more off the ball, hence the desire to ultimately find someone, be it point guard or other, that can absorb enough of the facilitation duties to maximize Jrue's output while maintaining or improving the overall team output. I have said for a year now that it doesnt need to be a CP3, it could be a Patrick Beverly or even a Nic Batum type that just helps share the responsibility load and keep Jrue able to do what he does best off the ball.
Rondo, while having a good relationship with Jrue individually on the court, as they seem to be fairly in tune and work cohesive together offensively, has overall not been healthy for this team as a whole. And that is why I agree with you about Rondo. Why I made pretty in depth posts about lineups and why we should move away from Rondo in the starting unit(along with getting Moore out of the position of guarding threes primarily).
