Basically you have Hayward, Gallinari, and Gay. SF is just a super thin position right now.
If I'm going to offer one of those guys the max, I'd rather offer Batum. Next year the max will just be even higher.
On the flip side, the PG market seems pretty good next year. So I guess I'd rather lock up our SF thus off season and see about PG next.
That is why I would be willing to trade next years first for a guy on a multiple year contract. Like Barton, Warren and maybe Belinelli. I feel like we already have our main three guys with AD, Jrue and Hield too just need a serviceable SF. I do not want to pay almost a max contract for an average guy.
