Like I said earlier, you are going to probably need to package a decent player with AD or someone like Brown. I can see Rasual as being that guy. I'm sure teams will ask for Julian.Quote:

It's an Okafor/Chandler swap, tommorow per the Charlotte Observer.

I'm ready for the press conference tomorrow...Paul, West and Peja should join Scott at the press conference!
Side note: Okafor is a Byron Scott type of player!

I really think the importance of height is overrated. Say Emeka had was 2 inches taller does that make him so much better? Wingspan and Standing Reach are more importand then height in my view. Emeka beats Chandler in both of these btw.
They discussed some other players but I think it's straight up.
Have any idea who these players were HH??Quote:

Okafor would be a downgrade at the 4... it makes no sense to trade west away and put him at PF, he doesn't have the offense for it. West and Paul are the nucleus of this team - and i think Bower knows it.
i think we need to spend the MLE on an quality/average 5 to spell okafor. armstrong and marks should rarely see the floor if we really hope to contend.
we'll just have to live with the fact that we're an undersized team.
You'll see a completely different reaction to this TC deal from CP, DX and BS. It was always about what they were getting in return. It's almost unconcievable that we're able to pull this off, but I should follow my own advice. More than once I've said that there are so many factors that to into making a deal that fans could never consider or comprehend. It's like the old saying, there's a buyer for everything. In this case you have an owner who wants to sell his team and needs to reduce his liabilities. Acquiring TC gives him the cance to MAYBE get something in return (rather than just giving Okafor away). If it doesn't work out, TC will be a trade chip for them next season...or they can just ride out his deal and be done with it.Quote:

how would that help us out paying a backup center 11+ million for the spot of 3 players?Quote:

Like I keep saying, we might be able to move a bad deal if we throw in a servicable and affordable player.
If 'sual left, who would start at the 2?Quote:

I think all of this proves that as fans, we aren't equiped with enough knowledge of the details to judge what we can or can't do.
or maybe he was tired of losing and the team not getting better. or playing in a empty arena.Quote:

I find it a little hard to believe that a guy who hasn't missed a game in two years in this league isn't that interested in basketball. Especially while averaging a double double.
Ideally, to me, I think Okafor is a true center. In today's game, the blueprint for PFs are guys that are 20-10. Okafor just doesn't have the post moves to average that, but he is PERFECT for 15-10 and defending other bigs. I read that the Bobcats even ran the offense thru Okafor. At least now teams will have to respect the Hornets inside game on BOTH ends.Quote:

Larry Brown liked him but wondered if he had any interest in improving his basketball game as much as he did Yoga or Pilates

Too short to play center huh? Even Shaq got some!! Larry Brown is nuts!
I dont care if he doesn't score a point. On defense, no more crappy layups for Parker or Ginobilli.

It's done. From what I've heard it's straight up...BUT...there was a point where they discussed other parts. It's just a matter of if it's Okafor for TC or with other pieces involved.
I like the trade (a lot) but I went on YouTube and searched for "okafor" and literally have not seen anything but -insert player here- posterizes emeka okafor. At least we know he'll try to block the dunk even though it could make him look bad. Right? right???
Good trade though, I'm excited about it.
the only potential starting SG that i can see us having a chance in trading for after looking at every teams rosters is mike dunleavy...and that is about all that is out there
