I want to sign him so we roll out the awkward looking white guy line up of
Jimmer
Babbit
AK47
Ryno
Withey
The only trade I'd like to see us do is the one I mentioned above. Tyreke and Rivers for Affalo and Wilson Chandler.
Here's why we do it:
Spacing, spacing, spacing. We need all the spacing we can get. While Gordon is out, Affalo slides into the opening lineup with Chandler taking the starting 3 spot. This allows Jrue to be the lead guard and ball dominant, letting him get into a groove. I think letting Jrue be his own would do incredible things for him and our team. We'd see the All-Star Jrue Holiday. Think Mark Ingram running better when Pierre and Khiry went down, because he was allowed to get in a rhythm. When Gordon comes back, Affalo provides depth. We keep Ryno and we baptize Russ Smith by fire.
Why Denver does it:
They have spacing so a guy like Tyreke won't harm them. They've been craving a lead guy. Don't get me wrong, Ty Lawson is good, but Tyreke would put that team on his back. He and Faried running the floor with Gallinari in the corner would be sick. Rivers is someone who could give their bench a punch, and maybe Denver could see a rejuvenation in him. Think about how they gave Anthony Randolph a chance. Rivers seems like a Brian Shaw-type player.
I don't know. There's my attempt at being Guru/vintage Nolaslim. Once in a blue moon from me, so take it in and give me feedback!
Almost every trade mentioned is not worth doing. Maybe the Affalo and Chandler but that doesn't help Deplth. That is the issue that no one seems to get it's not the starters. There won't be a 1 for 1 trade it will be 1 for 3 or 2 for 4 etc.
Not bad, it's hard for me to trade tyreke because he's one of my favorite players, but this is also has great points to it, a back court of jrue, af, and chandler really spaces the floor and all 3 play great perimeter D.
It could allow Jrue and AD to become the "GO TO" guys and have off ball 3 and D's, just like protland does with lillard and lamarcus, and has batum and matthews off ball.
Honestly the only Trade I see is with a team wanting to do whole sale. Maybe Timber Wolves,
Here is one that works Mathematically and gives us a +11 wins
Wolves receive - Anderson, Rivers
Nuggets receive - Reke
(mwahahaha) Pels receive Martin, Chandler, Brewer, Arthur & Muhammad line up could look like this
Jrue Holiday / Russ Smith
Brewer / Martin / Gordon
Chandler / Muhammad
Davis / Cunningham / Arthur
Asik / Withey / Ajinca
Someone I completely forgot about, Evan Turner
I kept thinking the celtics wouldn't trade Jeff Green for Ryno because they wouldn't have a SF. Turner is a starting caliber SF.
So we could do a straight up ryno for jeff green swap
or
what would we have to do to get evan turner? I would never trade ryno straight up for him, but turner's salary is 6 million.
I could def see a ryno for jeff green
Why are people so fascinated with Jeff Green? He's not that great of a player and isn't a true SF either; he's a tweener. He's very talented, yes, but he's inconsistent, he's 28, and has a player option for next year and probably will become a FA so we would need to worry about re-signing him while also not over-paying. I wouldn't trade Anderson for him and it's a pretty easy decision to me.
So I guess i'm leaning towards ryno for either gerald or jeff green.
