Fun crowd no doubt.

For being a rookie, and seeing how most bigs take 3 years to develop, Zeller is doing very well. You could almost say that he will have a nice solid career if he keeps this up.
Which one? Cody or Luke?
They say Cody has more game (and having seen both play I agree). If he is there, there are worse picks to make if your sitting there at #9 or #10 and all the big names are off the board.
I've come to believe that it would take a whole lot for me to be disappointed in a pick anywhere from the 5-10 range. All the prospects seem the same to me, if for some reason Burke is gone.
What's crazy about Cody Zeller (and not looking to change this to the draft prospect thread) is, had he come out last year #2 #3 pick at worst. This year, he will be lucky to he taken in the top 5 of the draft.
Another guy who has dropped is Patrick Young out of Florida. Last year some mocks had him going late in the lottery. This year most have him going in the 2nd round.
I let of folks say Zeller didn't improve this season, but according to his advanced metrics, he did improve. He was so good last season, it was going to be hard for him to make big improvements. His defense greatly improved which helped his win shares and win shares per 48 minutes increase. He was already outstanding offensively which didn't change this season. I think he will be much better than his brother, but will probably be at his best as a PF in this league and occasional minutes at the center spot.
Cody had the open jumper at the junction all game against Syracuse (especially since they run the 2-3 zone), but he never took it. His length is a major concern to me, and he gets stuffed around the rim a lot. These are a few of my concerns, but he certainly has potential.
I think he jumps better than his brothers as well. I think he gets hit with that "just another white center" stick an unfair amount of times. He is actually quite impressive when playing other bigs in college (and this season he has faced quite a few). While playing the 4 or 5 in college is a different animal than playing in the NBA, but this kid looks to be up for the challenge.
BTW I thought this was one of Gordon's better games. May have only recorded 14 points but the guy was everywhere.
I watched this game and really wish I had gone. Would've washed the bad aftertaste of Friday's game right away. Complete team effort, I'm glad they came out and played strong and dominated all game.
Kyrie is amazing though. Guy really can ball hard.
