So if we dump Gordon, who can we sign that will be better for the team?

I wouldn't wait until 12:01 if people we wondering. It won't be something hugely exciting.
Non-guaranteed contracts (one more that will be acquired before then) for Asik. That's it. Then the hunt for a SF continues, but that might take some time as the musical chairs is still going on at that position.
Just relax peeps. Talk about Asik more and what he can bring. Our SL guys. The possibilities in the backcourt and Withey vs. Ajinca.
There are 12-13 solid guys on the team. Let's talk more about them.
And im saying, pick and choose anyone. I prefer flexability > player in this case. Pick any lower level guy. Yes, he may not be as "talented" as EG. But what does that even matter if we get a service able guy that gives us 70+ game. Talent doesnt matter when its rotting on the benxh
You dont have to spend it. Save it for next year. Do you think the odds are he can give us that again? I dont. So we dont have guys to spend on this year so get a guy next year. Id also not like to have this guy on the books as it gets closer to extend Davis.
Fair enough. Ultimatly we all want the same thing. Just worried he wont opt out.
The good thing about keeping Gordon is the Gravy train is about to end so he needs to show he's worth another contract like he got with us. Who knows what the landscape will look like around the trade deadline. Some teams might want him before he becomes an expiring. In the meanwhile though i'd like to at least have a decent 3, while keeping our main guys. I don't think the exception is going to get us much with the way the market is right now.

Noticed that Ajinca was on the SL bench yesterday for the game. Thought it was odd since many on here have been including him in the Asik deal. Considering we obviously told Babbitt not to report and that he's going to be traded, would be shocked if Ajinca goes.
Sorry, but reading comments on here you think Gordon intentionally ran over a pack of orphaned puppies. If you think it's incredibly harmful that he is even on our roster (when MM pretty much assured us he would opt out) then fine. I will strongly disagree, but you are entitled to your opinion.
I kind of think it is insulting to say that I make up others' minds for them. Granted, I have been very outspoken about how this team needs to do whatever it takes to get Eric Gordon's CONTRACT off this cap. I don't hate the MAN at all. It's just that we have two better guards that need the minutes and that 15 mil could be better served filling another need.
But if he is here, I will be pulling hard for him. And I even have been trying to convince people that he will be the starting SG next year. I pull for anybody in that jersey, but I still believe that 15 mil would be better served on a guy with more length on the wing.
I want to say my decision to not like Gordon on the team in strictly my personal opinion. MM had nothing to do with it. I don't hate the guy personally because I never meet nor do I want him to have any career ending injuries. I just would MUCH rather have Evans starting at SG and Gordon to either let his ego and put the team first and come off the bench or go somewhere where he is happy. He clearly doesn't want to be in NOLA since he was traded there, and that's why I don't want him on the team. It's nothing personal, and MM had nothing to do my opinion.
I wanna see him go blond and spike it and try to look like Ivan Drago. There are a lot of similarities there. Just go all in. Check into games and tell opposing bigs, "I must break you." When there are other players rumored to have covered up gray hair, he can say, "If he dies, he dies."
Not unless something changes. The deal, as of this morning, was non-guaranteed contracts and the pick for Asik and 1.5 mil. Dell used cap room to get the NG'ed contracts, so all he will have left is the Room Exception to land a SF. But there is incredible depth at the other 4 positions.
