Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing Josh Howard make the team. Nothing like a D-League and Summer League stint to get the mind right.
I don't put much stock into Summer League performance because Brian Roberts.
Hate to see Aminu go, but hey, if we keep Babbitt, then I'm all for it. Smitty I'm on the fence, I think I rather Ajinca/Withey/Young and of course Babbitt.
Would love to see Rivers go... hopefully we can involve him in a S&T to up the level of our incoming SF.
Thought we kept the MLE by renouncing those guys... weird. I need to brush up on my cap info.
I liked Josh Howard's game when he was in Dallas but i was not impressed with him last night. He was having trouble guarding the perimeter which is not a good sign. He did have a couple flashes of "old josh" on offense.
Still a couple more games (and then the summer league SHIP!) I'm rooting for him.
I'm laying my money on Jordan Hamilton. It seems like it's going to take a guy that hasn't gotten a ton of minutes.
I'd say Jefferson but with what Vets are getting in the open market I think he's out of the picture. I mean if VC can get a 3yr/12M deal, I don't see how Jefferson can't get a 2yr/8M.
I'd say get the presses fired up for some CDR jerseys
Like I have said, I don't know this part of the equation. Pure guess on my part. I don't think they have come to terms with the guy yet and we ware still exploring. I think it will all depend on how the musical chairs play out and we are going to have to wait for guys who miss out on the MLE and/or starting spots. I do think the ability to offer a starting position will help us. It won't trump 5M per year offers, but I could see a guy taking 2.8 and a starting spot over 3.5 or even 4.
I think it would be a good move. Even though he has been in the league a few years, i think he still is coachable. As i mentioned in another thread, he was dominating on defense in college. He's a lengthy guy that will be able to get into shooters faces on the perimeter. If we decide to move to a run an gun type of offense he would make a great starter because that's his game.
Doesn't hurt that he went to University of Memphis where i graduated. That would make two former Tigers on the team.

I loved CDR at Memphis and remember thinking that the nets stole him at the draft
but I also thought the clips stole aminu so what do I know
hawks just signed bazemore for 2/4MM
he's another summer league star but i would have thought he would have been looking for playing time
Not gonna see the court in atl
Wesley Johnson + Summer league guy, outside of that i'm ignorant to our trade possibilities. So that's the type of guy i think we roll with.
Young Vet, he's reached that magical age of 27 where a lot of these guys resurface and become the roll players they should have been in the first place, after being humbled and maturing.
3 & D potential, former high lotto pick, and he would fit into that price range based on what he was just paid... Since Frodo Baggins doesn't = A certain SF playing for a team over crowed at that position and missing a place to hold his precious.
Garcia would be a perfect fit
Anthony Morrow has agreed to join the Thunder, giving Oklahoma City a 3-point shooter and depth on the wing. Story coming soon.

He will ride the bench in OKC, all of his weaknesses will be highlighted because there is no ball movement on that team and their two primary scorers don't pass... 23 shots for KD, 32 shots for Westbrook. 2 shots per game won't get Morrow toes warm, he damn sure won't get enough touches to look like the sharp shooter he is.
I'm joking, but i'm serious. He's on a playoff team, but the cycle is going to be repeated, the cycle that led him to us and a resuscitating of his career. Good Luck Morrow, except when it has any bearing on us.
Alan Anderson, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Jae Crowder, Francisco Garcia, Richard Jefferson, Jordan Hamilton, Wesley Johnson.
Those are the guys that I see that I'm atleast a little interested in. Though there's really only two of them I'm not "meh" over.
This is probably a dumb question, but are there no rules that keep us from moving Gee to Houston? Like a 30 day deal or something.
Actually let me rephrase that. Obviously they can trade him now, but what makes him different from another player who has to wait a certain amount of days to trade?
