Right now it's Etwaun Moore.

What in Diallo's game last year showed you he couldn't handle more minuets. The lack of use that he got after showing out was startling. I am sure he comes back bigger and stronger, who else is going to get those mins besides DC? Why sign someone when you have a perfectly fine option here.
Moore at the 2? That's not going to work.
I like Moore. He and Jrue are a good defensive backcourt.
This looks like it would be a good article on the Pels:

But I don't have ESPN insider so no clue what it says
Free agent guard Langston Galloway is finalizing a three-year, $21M deal with the Detroit Pistons, league sources tell ESPN.

What do we have in assets to get a top player via trade July 6?
Can we trade Hill and Anjinca? Do we have any money to spend if so how much?
We have to get a playmaker if we want to make some noise.
Holiday Davis Cousins Hill Crawford/Moore is our starters.
Just curious
I saw a thin 20 year old kid play 12 minutes a game for 17 games. Then I see a possible back up front court of him & Ajinca and I really get worried cause all I see is bones lol. Don't get it twisted, I love me some Diallo. Sky is the limit for him, I just have to see more before I could trust him to get more minutes.
That's why I want to see him in summer league. If he looks more physically mature and capable to be the primary backup then don't sign anyone. Well I would rather sign someone anyway, but that's just me. I think we would be foolish to hand over the primary backup 4 spot to him based off 17 career games. I just don't think he has earned it yet without some kind of competition.
It didn't work last year and it won't work this year. Moore isn't a starter in the NBA. No disrespect, but I don't even understand why that question has to be asked. It's not about who you like. Its about who can produce. We need a real SG and an upgrade over Solomon Hill because he shouldn't be starting in the NBA either. These guys wouldn't even get playing time on a real contender. Isn't that what we're trying to field? A contender? The Pelicans aren't a contender with Moore and Hill starting. It's self explanatory.
David West, per source, to re-sign for one year—will be his last—with the Warriors.

I miss when NOLA basketball was fun... like the 07-08 season :crytear:
I despise Moore so much. I don't want him to see any significant minutes. He's had so many opportunities to make open shots and he fails like 8 out of 10 times. His defense is questionable. I would rather Swaggy P be our starting 2 guard.
Do people actually get ESPN Insider? lol
The other part is OA and AA.....I'd rather we find a way to trade one or both.....but we've been saying that for how long now? So let's say one or both of these guys gets some minutes at C. Maybe they even get some minutes at C while Boogie plays some minutes at PF. Makes signing a PF even more redundant while having DC and Diallo.
Man can we sign somebody already .....we need some serious upgrades Dell and company better be working .

What's with the Moore hate all of a sudden? I thought he played decent in his role last year.
There's a difference in being worthy of the NBA and worthy of starting. Let's not do the rose colored glasses thing. If they were both legit starters we would have made the playoffs last year. We don't need bench depth. They are the bench depth. We need legit starters.
Trade Ajinca + 2rd pick = Kyle O'Quinn C-PF
Trade Pondexter + protected 1st rd pick (Top 18) = Will Barton SG-SF
Sign Patrick Patterson PF to replace Cunningham (up front depth)
Sign Young & Lawson or Rondo
If wanna get out of E Moore trade for Justin Holiday S&T for 6.5 mil (Big if)
It actually kinda is.
That unit produced a +16 Net rating. Held the opposing team to 41% shooting.
You are talking pretty good company with that. Granted there are some problem areas like TOV's and ball movement with that unit, but that is what Finch is coming in for.
One thing that really did not get used enough last season was the slashing ability of guys like Hill. His best games came when he was attacking the rim, making cuts and not just camping at the three point line. Finch's style that Gentry is incorporating relies heavily on their big man passing to guys cutting and slashing to the basket. There is some reason to believe that Finch should better optimize both Hill and Jrue a lot better then we used them last season.
I still hate the contract and think it will be our new anchor and may ultimately be one of those things that have us looking to Hinkie in a season or two, but there is some silver linings in all this.....Assuming Gentry does a better job with lineup management and rotations then he has shown himself thus far, which is probably the achilles heel for me in making this all work.
Being that Jrue can disappear in some games offensively we need
another scorer in the starting 5 WILL BARTON ANYBODY????

Andre Iguodala has canceled the remainder of his free agency meetings, league sources tell The Vertical.

Warriors unclear what it means that Andre Iguodala canceled rest of FA meetings. Sense is he may be coming their way w/ Houston offer.
— Sam Amick (@sam_amick) July 1, 2017
Man, JJ is getting $23m? Man, people getting paid. That 76ers team is going to be fun to watch.
He wasn't saying they are better. Just how hypocritical your argument was. You said they would barely touch the floor. If we had zaza starting you would probably say the same about him. Bottom line is every team including the warriors has a position they could probably upgrade.
TRY THIS TRADE IDEA
Pels get Alex Len and Brandon Knight Suns get AA, AO, O-Pon and Pels 2018 first
If the season started tomorrow, that would be the lineup I would want to get the most time on the floor.
Is it my ideal? Absolutely not. In a perfect world I would much rather a player like Reddick manning the 2 spot. A much more consistent defender and offensive threat. And who knows, there were a few rumors the other day of us pursuing Korver. So really this is all very fluid right now. I would love to upgrade the spot, but people are making Moore out to be some godawful albatross when in reality he is probably one of the few easily moveable players.
Cleveland's in talks with Houston on a deal to move Iman Shumpert to Rockets, league sources tell ESPN. https://t.co/Uym4ZfSwMz

Cavs in market to get draft pick & trade exception for Iman Shumpert, which would free $ to sign Kyle Korver and set up future deals.
