Grizzlies with 20 fts in the 1st quarter.
Griffin might be the biggest disappointment in the history of basketball - he is so soft and wouldn't last a week under Monty. OR is it the culture of LAX? Look how EG has acted. Heck, look how Odom has acted and Derrick Fisher for that matter.
Chris Paul has to see the writing on the wall in LA... Griffin is not a star player, he is an above average PF who is overhyped because of his dunking ability. Deandre Jordan has been exposed as a medicore/below average player. All the depth around those 3 is aging and likely will want out next year + he knows Bledsoe will be gone next year.
I honestly couldn't be happier to see Chris Paul fail. I hate this era with superstars trying to get their way. He might be lucky to win a championship before he retires. He either takes less money to play for a legit contender or loses the rest of his career.
Chris Paul out with two techs. Nice way to end a season. Super Happy :D

The Clippers have lost 4 straight playoff games two years in a row.

Gosh, these refs in the Grizz-Clips game were horrible. Bunch of unnecessary techs.
Clippers will assume their regular spot in the Lottery next year...couldn't have happened to a nicer group.
Yay LA sucks LA sucks LA sucks
I honestly think Grizz could win the chip this year. They will beat OKC with ease, I don't see SA or Golden State giving them any trouble and they are Miamis worst nightmare because Miami has no answer for them down low.
I am calling it now.. Grizz win this chip this year.
Francisco Garcia wasted away his career in Sacramento.
Wow, Joey Crawford at his best! Chris Paul AND Z-Bo get ejected!!!
I can't express in words how happy and delighted I am that Chris Paul gets ejected in what is likely his last game as a Clipper :D

Will Del Negro get walking papers tomorrow?
I LITERALLY came on here to say watch them hire Byron Scott next.
Totally agree with all 3 of you guys. I see so many people on this forum praise Paul and want him back like he's some messiah. No doubt I enjoyed him play and he brought a level of respectability to this franchise. But that still doesn't excuse the fact he left even after we traded away Collison and Thornton to please him.
F that clown and his big market. So damn tired of the way the NBA is now. Guaranteed contracts, spoiled players getting coaches fired, big market teams having way more of a chance to win a title than small market teams. Just ridiculous....
See, for me, I can understand why he left. Our franchise was a complete disaster. We had no owner, our arena was crap, our practice facility was crap, our roster was crap, and our HC/GM tandem was young and unproven. That isn't even factoring in that we traded Tyson Chandler in his prime and broke up the trio of CP, DWest and TC. That was a winning trio, and we really messed that up. But now, we have a great local owner, $30 million dollars in upgrades to the arena, the newest, most state-of-the-art practice facility, a great young roster with cap flexibility, and a more proven HC/GM tandem. I do disagree with his decision to go to such a crappy franchise like LAC, but he is getting his just deserts for that one. I would have been much less bitter if he went to a real franchise and did well in the playoffs.
There are a lot of draws to our franchise now. Do I expect him to want to come back? Nah, I'm not counting on it. That said, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if there was mutual interest. Add Chris Paul to this roster, and we are legit contenders as soon as next year.
My flame suit is on
CP should have just stayed here if he left because of bad ownership lol And winning wise I swear its like the same **** different team with him. He's good but either he's not that good or teams are just depending too much on him(maybe one in the same?)
What Im realizing about CP and most pass first PGs is that they don't really win when it counts. If someone has to "assist" someone to score, then maybe that person who is being assisted is not that good in the first place. They seem to mask problems offensively but when the pressures is on in the playoffs, when the rest of the team has to show up and score points, well they can't because the team is built around a player to help that can't at the moment because he's being doubled, trapped etc whatever. Hell Vasquez averaged 9 assists with our team, he technically didn't make anyone better, he made the overall offense better(I guess) lol.

As much as I hate CPMe for going to L.A., I must admit that a small part of me wanted the Clippers to lose so that:
- The likelihood that he does not re-sign increases; AND
- subsequently, the Pelicans would have a chance, no matter how minute, to sign him...
If CP and AD team up togather in NO im moving down and buying season tickets
I'd rather take my chances with Burke and A.D.
Like the edit. Makes more sense
At this point I'd rather see it too.
Agreed.
Add in Gordon as a back court mate, and they form the best back court in the NBA. Moreover, if you guys thought CP running the PnP with DWest was beautiful, just imagine him doing it with Ryan Anderson... Ridiculous!
Chicago without Deng tonight, still playing excellent basketball. It seems that no matter which player goes down, they always find a way to remain competitive. Great team.
Yeah, what the hell is Rose complaining about?
Lead is slipping. Deron Williams always contested that he was better than CP3. How about he try and prove it for once.
I absolutely love watching teams that plays well without superstars.
Nate Robinson is such a low IQ player. He almost single-handedly let Brooklyn back into the game.
Bulls were shooting better all game. The line was their enemy, and they fixed that problem. The Nets never really got closer after that.
How many teams could get to the second round of the playoffs without their best player?
Don't even get me started on this prima donna little *****. He has teammates getting spinal taps before games, taking off walking boots and trying to warm up and get ready to play, playing through plantar fasciitis, throwing up on the sideline in the middle of a game, all while he's been a full participant in practice for how long, but he's choosing to wear a suit every night. I think he's been a full go in practice for over two months? What a clown this guy is, if you are medically cleared to play and choose not to, you shouldn't be able to receive your pay check. Plus his brother claims he has a 90% chance of playing against the Heat in the 2nd round if the Bulls advance? Please, he fits in perfectly with today's generation. They are all a bunch of whiny, over paid *****es, who are scared of competition.
/RANT
It was between us and the Bulls if I'm not mistaken.

Damn you Doc. We should cut his kid asap. lolQuote:
“He had two jobs,” said Rivers, whose Celtics play the Bulls on Thursday night at the United Center. “You can ask him. He was leaning toward one, and I grabbed him by the shoulders and said, ‘Are you kidding me?’ You get a chance to coach Derrick Rose, and you’re *going to take another job? Are you nuts? We laugh about it now.
Hornets offered first, but then the Bulls offered and he took that job.
Yeah if was here with a CP3 who was looking to leave, or Rose who hadn't entered his prime.
Go back and find the threads from back then, and you will see only have us a pitty interview.
There's more to it than that. Bower was still GM of that team(on his way out) and the team was going through an owner change(eventually to the NBA). With no stability within the organization, there was no chance Thibodeau would consider the Hornets with a much more attractive option in Chicago on the table. You're right, it wasn't even close.
Pretty sure Thibs took less $$$ to go to the Bulls, can't remember where I read that though so no link
Pondexter is developing into a nice player for the Grizzlies. He's given them valuable play in the playoffs. His role has expanded and he's turning into a nice defensive player.
