you are right about it taking a bit more on the part of the Magic to balance it out, but I totally disagree about a combination of Vucevic and Redick not working for us....

I mean in trade value. I like vucevic's game but redick isn't really the guy for us to me. If we did do that it would probably be best to dish him somewhere else like chicago or somewhere looking for a sharpshooter.
Def. Maybe Harkless since we need a SF. If they threw in their 1st I would take it anyday, but Vucevic's trade value is fairly high and redick is in high in demand. Then through in a top 5 pick unlikely to me but never know with a rebuilding magic although they have affalo and the contracts dont match. Probably would have to take another xpiring
1. Injury prone throughout his career
2. Doesn't play consistent defense
3. Deep down inside its obvious he doesn't want to be here
4. Cancer for a young team
5. Never smiles just isn't a happy camper
6. He will certainly leave after he plays the 13/14 and 14/15 seasons and we"ll get nothing in return
I say move him now and get the best deal possible -- better than an unhappy player and eventually losing him to free agency. We are trying to build a good team for the future and there's no way he will be a part of it so cut ties now and get some value either in the form of players and/or draft picks.
Traded for what? Anything you have in mind, Mr. Optimist?
This guy doesn't deserve a response eman
A trade for Eric Gordon for Lebron James works straight up -optimist
lol... this is pathetic. People need to get over it and start rooting for Gordon. Smart people realize the better he does it's a win/win for everyone. INcrease his trade value while we win games. DUH. All this blind hate for the guy, especially 3-5 is just silly.
They guy actually smiles on the court. I've seen multiple times after the game when we win, he and monty share a good "good job." The guy didn't smile when he signed a 58 million dollar contract. The guys not going to smile when the team is 17-35. lol
trololol

DO you understand that in 2 years he will leave and we'll end up with nothing in return, just like nothing for BD and nothing much for CP if I'm right and Gordon walks in 2 years. Surely please tell me you people have some brains. Get the best offer even if just draft picks and get rid of his way overpaid salary. Then with the cap space we already have plus his salary savings, we can sign some guys that WANT to play here. It's really pretty simple guys. Just look at Gordon's facial expressions or lack of during his interviews with Jen. So before you bad mouth me, how's about directing your energies at the source of the problem if for no other reason for his teammates and the fans. After all it was Gordon who said his heart wasn't in New Orleans and had he not been a restricted free agent he would already have been gone!! Everyone is entitled to their opinion, BUT please wake up!

Lol
Great thread. I would definitely read again.
Do you understand Gordon's contract is for 4 years?
It's three with a player option for the fourth.
If he opts out it'll be because he's stayed healthy and has become one of the top players in the league.
Fitting name.
I think there are more people worried about us being stuck paying max money to a guy that never sees the court than Eric wanting out.
I mean this in the most respectful way possible...the "optimist" sounds like a doomsday prophet, your tone suggests that there will be a day of reckoning with Eric Gordon. One day he will wake up and set in motion to destroy the franchise, or maybe he has already begun....ominous :help:
Wake up people...the end is nigh
Until he is playing 38 - 40 minutes per again, and the Hornets have rotations that say "we're trying to win" instead of "let's not get anybody injured this year", I'd reserve my judgement...Mr. gray skies.
