The Miami Heat couldn't beat a Lebron-less lakers. Damn,
The Lakers winning without BOTH AD and Lebron is a most unwelcome development.
A friend mentioned the idea of trading the Lakers' swap pick now. I never really thought of that. I tend to agree with him that the Lakers are far more likely to wind up in the play-in than as a top 10 lottery team. So maybe it is best to maximize any value now? Depends on the trade offer, of course...

I get this point of view. However, I'm holding onto that Lakers pick no matter what. The odds are very good that AD and/or Lebron will get injured AGAIN. Is anyone confident that AD will come back from this foot injury and not suffer another, completely unrelated injury that causes him to miss a month or two of games. Or Lebron for that matter.
Lakers have won 4 in a row now and are just 2 wins back from a play in spot. They are now tied for the 9th-11th spot of the lottery.
Lakers won again and are only 5 games behind us.
Unless LeBron loses an arm in the next 2 weeks, time for Pelicans to use that pick swap in a trade for some veteran scoring off the bench.

You will reap the consequences if you are not listening. Still plenty of time. Grif will make move soon
You want the Lakers to win tonight. Yes playoff position will be critical in April. The more losses for Dallas the better Pelicans are in long run. Go Lakers!
I much rather play Lakers in 1st round rather than Utah in 1st. We play UTAH we are screwed
Westbrook making free throws now
Lakers are so much better without Davis.
AD coming back soon.....
Lakers will make the playoffs

Adding Rui will be a boost for them. Ah well.
Another Pels loss/Lakers win...ugh
Looking at the schedule we might free fall to the 13th spot even with BI in the lineup.
Nice to see the momentum swing back in a more positive direction (for both teams). I remain hopeful the Lakers can screw this up and give us a top 10 pick.
The Lakers are now are slated to pick 6th in the draft with a record of 25-31. Orlando is 5th at 25-33. Charlotte, San Antonio, Detroit and Houston all have 15 wins or less so there's no way the Lakers end up with one of the 4 worst records.
However, they made a bunch of trades yesterday. It will be interesting to see if these reinforcements actually help them win games. Sure, D-Lo is likely better than Russ, but by how much? Is Mo Bamba any good? He could barely register minutes with Orlando. Malik Beasley is a 3 point specialist who is shooting 37% from 3 this year. I guess that is better than what they've had.
I don't see these moves making them much better but we shall see.
We shall see.
I think they improved. But I don't think by much. And of course, all these moves are for naught if/when Lebron and/or AD get injured again.
Man, don't want to play the Blazers the way we defend threes. They're 20-35 4 1/2 minutes into the 3RD quarter. Leading the Lakers by 22.
Is the most consistent pleasure as a Pels fan watching AD suffer in mediocrity?
psst… Beasley and Lonnie Walker should be getting more minutes than Schroder and Troy brown, but don’t tell Ham.
AD deleted his instagram.

Things aren't good in Laker-land.
Lebron questionable for tonight. Mo Bamba makes his debut.
Guess who's going to pass this team record wise
LeBron is out indefinitely. We might have two shots in the lottery. SMH
Lebron to be re-evaluated in 3 weeks. He's done. Season's a wrap for the Lakers.
Lakers are going to crumble

These aren't your last years Lakers. Even without Bron and AD they are still competitive. With AD they can still match it with most teams
Losing Westbrook was addition by subtraction personified. He's managed to completely implode the Clippers since landing there. Vandy and Beasley are both weapons of the defensive and offensive variety. Given away for beans. Imagine we added those two guys? Beasley would be the best shooting guard on the roster outside of CJ and Vanderbilt the best PF outside of Zion.
A big screw you to Ainge and the like who conspired to gift Lakers good players at the deadline for no reason
Also, well done to Griff for being asleep at the wheel yet again
AD lead lakers over curry warriors.... it was meant to be smh..
And Morant is not playing next game. That means theyvare probably jumping over us in standings on tuesday...
Guys, y’all can’t really believe that the league was going to allow the Pels to finish in front of the Lakers. The Pels can’t get out of their own way and almost all of the games are officiated against them. That’s league directed. Plus, the league is sick of them not being serious about contending.
Ridiculous.
The NBA "allowed" the Lakers to suck for YEARS. But this year they're gonna rig a Lebron-less team to the playoffs??? Ridiculous.
The Lakers had a good win against Golden State. Like I said, we shall see what happens. I'll be popping into this thread regularly to gloat or eat crow.
We shall see.
The days we don't play we move to a better spot while the days that we play we lose it
Your post is getting better or should i say funnier...
Im not rooting against the Pels im just sick of ppl that are too optimistic... i follow Pels since 2005, and if i learned anything in those 18 years is that higher you fly, harder you fall...thats why i dont fly...
