NOW we can be worried
cmon, that team would rock. aminu and elfrid wouldn't play with each other too much.
we can still get
Nicholas Batun
Marvin Williams or
Terrance Jones
Anthony Davis
Hold the presses. I had not done my homework. If we had an early pick, Damien James would be pretty perfect. Be honest and watch the top video of his highlights. Every championship team has a dawg you can give the ball to and say sick 'em . geez, he is one

We still need a star who can take the rock down
Bump
3-1 in last 4 games, tank
We go on a 3 game win streak and lose to a clear better team right now and you go for another thread bump for the tank. This is just comical. It becoming an expected pattern.
Depending on AD's injury, this could be David Robinsons injury that led to the drafting of Tim Duncan.
It seems from indicators from the game its just a bruise. Might play tonight. Though given how precautionary they have been with him they might sit him and concede the back to back.
I think that poster ignores a huge part of the draft rebuild equation: Money.
All those players seem like good players to have. Not as your lineup of the future but as part of a rotation, sure. But it ignores the large amount of cap space we would of had over the years had we not gone the route we did of trying to rush the rebuild.
One move I kinda wish we had made in retrospect was not signing Asik. I know it was a risk but aside from my annoyance that i think we overpaid, Demps should of consulted with Gentry better and realized we are putting way too much of the cap pie in two guys that are likely to only see 20 combined minutes or so most nights. Biyombo could of fit that role just fine and I said as much in the offseason.
Let's just hold tight I'm sure someone will go crazy for a center like Cleveland did last year.
Did Cleveland go crazy though? They gave up two very late first rounders for a guy that fits their system perfectly.
Asik is quite a big pill to swallow for any team out there right now. Especially when he is going on two seasons where by and large he is underperforming to expectations.
Trade, Tank, Fire Demps
Asik can't be traded now. That sounds like a great reason to wait to trade him.
I'm sure they'll get something really good when they do too, because of how bad he is. Right? Right? Got any ideas of what that might be?
If it gets erdogan unseated and kicked away i'm willing to listen to any trade
Yeah, not sure. I find myself wondering if he is hurt somewhat. Both he and Ajinca are seeing low minutes, even in cases where rebounding really matters (e.g. Jazz), but it is hard for me to tell if that is due to a diminished role for them plus, perhaps, pouting, or if it is a lingering issue for them both.
I find it hard to believe it is attitude for them both, as Ajinca has given no indications of any attitude issues. Plus, Asik's attitude in Houston seems to have been more about honor than pride... Houston changing their commitment to him more than the actual minutes and role following Howard's arrival there.
The team does not disclose many injuries (scary?), so I lean this way for now.
I think a lot of his issues are him comong back from a back injury. A big man like him who is out of shape will look terrible. Not saying we are going to see these huge improvements from him but I really believe his back injury causing him to be out of shape is really hurting his play.
One good thing to hold out hope for is Thibs will most likely be coaching next year. Just pray it is a team without a good center and he will make a move for Asik. I think once he gets in shape his value will go up a little so the right coach and system mite value him enough to atleast take him for nothing. Would be nice to get value in return but I wouldn't mind just getting the $ off the books. Also wouldn't be a bad move for Thibs since the contract will be a year shooter and the $ is not as bad as it seems under the new cap. It's hard to look at the contracts now because I was so use to the #s under the old cap. Plus the cap is suppose to take another jump making the contract look even better.
