From Yahoo:
While NO will make big offer tonight, sources close to SAC Tyreke Evans say he will do his due diligence with long list & Kings still in mix
This has to be the most exciting free agency period in the history of the franchise, well at least since coming to NOLA! All the names floating around and one of the top guys IMO with us having a rumored offer sheet ready for him! Don't let him leave the room till he signs Dell!
**edit: agrees to it cause he can't sign just yet!
Like others, I have a hard time imagining Holliday, Gordon, and Evans on the court at the same time. If David Aldridge's tweet is true (that we intend to make Evans a fat offer), that suggests to me that Demps has plans to move Gordon. Yet that doesn't make sense either, because (1) Gordon seems healthier and happier than ever now, and (2) his trade value seems pretty low after an injury-plagued season. Maybe the plan is to have Evans come off the bench, while seeing how the chemistry works out on the new roster. If Gordon plays well, he could still be used as a trade chip later in the season.
One thing is for sure: something interesting is brewing here. It's got my attention for sure!
So sign Tyreke, and S&T Gordon for Iggy.
Well someone just posted we are trying to move EG for Derozan
Free agency has been open for 15 minutes. Let's see what happens in the morning.
Heh.
Going to be a long ten days. This is only the first 20 minutes.
I thought the Raps were trying to move Derozan for Eric BLEDSOE.. ?
Just so I know, can offer sheets be signed now or only verbal accepts until July 10th
No, not Eric Gordon its Eric Bledsoe
Adam Delgado ?@RealAdamDelgado 1m
Sources are saying @TyrekeEvans would be used at SF. Helps out with the confusion of the Pelicans having so many guards.
Anyone else worried about Tyreke's size at the 3?
Why we offered Tyreke a contract before Iggy is beyond me.
I'm worried about his size, him being so ball dominant, his weak jumper, his weak defense, etc, BUT he's very talented and he's been stuck in Sac town. You never know, we look to be developing one hell of a culture here and maybe Monty fixes his problems. I'd be fine with him, as long as the contract is reasonable. I just don't see why Sacramento wouldn't match any contract under ~10 million.
I like Reke as a signing for a team that needs a scorer, but not sure about his fit here if Gordon stays.
