REALLY?!?!!?!!?? I didnt want to draft him, but i find that hard to believe... Mcnamara is making progress my friends.

As am I.
One aspect of Vasquez at the 3 that intrigues me is it would allow us to get an extra ballhandler/passer on the floor. New York found a lot of late season success through a Pablo Prigs/Raymond Felton/Iman Shumpert lineup that helped them reduce turnovers, space the floor and push the ball when the opportunity arose.
Having said that, Shumpert's a really strong defender and that really keyed the ability to do that. Unless Vasquez is a significantly better defender against wings than he is at the point he's gonna have trouble transitioning there.
Im fine with the three guard sets; i think i would go ballistic if Vazquez was our starting 2.
Finally have a DX scouting vid on Len
If we draft Burke we would be very deep at the 1 and 2 (assuming Burke pans out of course). Burke/Vazquez/Roberts Gordon/Rivers is an intriguing combo...
I'd rather draft CJ and keep Gordon and Rivers for now. We still need a center, but I don't like Len that much.
I'd rather take CJ over Burke and Oladipo.
I've said from day one that Oladipo's offense worries me. I know he was really efficient, but he really didn't take very many shots.
Burke, don't get me wrong I wouldn't be upset if we drafted him, I think he'll be a good player, but he isn't what this team needs.
Then you have McCollum, who brings elite offense. His off the dribble game is unreal, and it's probably the hardest thing to master in the game.
Smoke screen.... I hope he leaves a bunch of smoke screens so nobody knows who we're drafting. It makes a team have to move in front of us to grab the player we said we wanted. 3 weeks till the draft, come on.
Anyone know where I can download the Lehigh vs Duke game from a couple years back?
@michaelhart912 #4 is my #1, but I don't think he will be there. CJ is my #2. TB3 is #8 for me personally

#4 is Dipo obviously. So Burke is #8 on MM's big board. Wow.
McCollum is the safest pick and hell fit the best with our team at this point. If Austin can't be the pg we need he can probably play it also similarly. We at least get a good back SG, 6th man or even Gordon's replacement.
GV/Rivers/CJM/Gordon
Gordon/CJM/Rivers/GV
That's a whole lot of backcourt combinations lol it seems that team is going for a versatile team with players that are versatile and can play multiple positions. That's why Saric would have been great on this team. Good thing hell be in next years draft, if we get next plus CJM this year...Man oh man talk about offensive options and versatility. Saric can play probably 4 positions and against smaller teams, all 5.
I'd guess Len is the pick as of right now if the Dario news is in fact true. Just more need/playing time available for him than a C and the SF crop really falls off after Porter
Although things can certainly change at any moment, it doesn't seem Mccollum is headed hear anytime soon for a workout according to his schedule. According to HoopsHype, he has about 6 workouts scheduled before returning home on the 20th and it doesn't include NOP
Drafting a guard makes no sense if they aren't prepared to trade one of Gordon/Vasquez/Rivers.
I've said it a bajillion times.
Chance Vasquez is off the team by beginning of season: 50%
Chance Vasquez is off the team by passing of trade deadline: 100%
No future here for him.
Well according to the end of the season press conference the team held, Dell voiced that they were looking for an upgrade this offseason at the point guard position. So don't be surprised to see changes made at that position via draft or free agency in the coming weeks
Honestly I really don't know which Hornets team people watched last year. We need better play at virtually every position. Nobody in this draft shouldn't be an option. Even though PF is considered our strength I don't see how guys like Bennett and Zellers shouldn't be options. I like what we got from Anderson, but he's no game changer and the team can and should look to upgrade if there's a player that projects to be better than him.
While I agree that PF is our least need, when you are in the lottery you are there for a reason. BPA. Period. I love the Horn...err Pelicans and our players and hope for development, but the "oh we are set there...we just need this.." is insane. We have 3 starting caliber players (one of whom can't even stay healthy), we need pretty much any talent we can get. I will honestly be psyched with whoever we get sadly enough because it will undoubtedly be an upgrade.
Bingo. I would say in this order Gordon he makes way too much, is injured far too often is of the three he's the most likely to want to be some where else. Vasquez he is maxed out IMO and far exceed his abilities. It best to trade him after his statistical year. Lastly Rivers still raw and some time for him to be a quality role player/off the bench guy.
Yeah, but the Suns love Oladipo, not Shabazz.

Why is Burke only doing individual workouts
Similar strategy to lilard
Does it strike anyone as odd that 16 days out, we only know of one workout scheduled...Burke with an individual workout on the 14th. No group workouts announced, no other individual ones. I feel like we should know something by now.
I know Demps is probably at EuroCamp the past few days, and I know that last year our workouts were on the 17th and 18th I think. It just seems odd we've heard nothing.
I also find it strange. This is the last i read about it.
Monty on NBA draft: "This is the week we start to ramp it up. We've looked at a few players we'll have in for a workout or an interview."
— Jim Eichenhofer (@Jim_Eichenhofer) June 10, 2013
Hmmm...that is interesting. Only Saric and Burke has come up recently.
1230 AM WBOK's Ro Brown is going to try to go to the workouts for interviews and what not. And I might be shadowing him. If I go, I'll be sure to make threads about what physical impression I get of each player.
It's super tentative. I mean, I'm not even REMOTELY certain that I'll even get to go or whatever. Just felt it was relevant to say.
Edit: ALSO, gotta say that if I were to go, I wouldn't get to see the actual workouts. I might see some shoot arounds, but after they're done, Ro said that they usually let the prospect go to reporters and talk.
Even if Demps is in Europe Monty can run workouts. It is very odd. Demps allegedly loves Saric, has scouted him multiple times, and only has one workout scheduled with Burke who they supposedly (according to Chris Miles) don't think is any better than Vasquez. So no meaningful workouts + loves Saric but Saric is still talking about withdrawing because reports are he'll go in the 20s despite lots of interest from lottery teams? Is there a trade brewing? Rondo and #16 for a #6 package? It's got to be something to make it worth us dropping back far enough that Saric is still not happy.
The more logical assumption is they are firming up the list of workout attendees and don't want to release it until they are sure what and where. I'm trying not to read too much into it. Its just a bit odd.
I don't find anything strange. There have been times when we didn't know which guys were coming in until the day before or the day OF the workout. Last year it was said they'd start bringing in players on 6/4 for workouts... we didn't even know until THAT DAY which guys would be participating in the workouts.
