I really hope we land a speedy point guard either in free agency or the draft.
It's clearly what this teams needs more than anything.
I hope we hang onto Roberts as insurance for if Vasquez doesn't want the back up role.
Great game with shorthanded squad. Gv and ad and ar and jsmith were all out and we almost beat a 50 win team
I'm really wondering what Demps is planning this summer...
A man can only hope that Mr. Bledsoe went up to Monty after the game and asked him to remember him this summer...
But how often have injury prone players just stopped getting hurt
I would guess that once they get CP locked up they will move Bledsoe in a trade.
Should have had Amundson out there instead of Lopez.
That was a really entertaining game! Shorthanded team played really hard. Need to practice freethrows though... this game could've been well outta hand had we made 10 or so of those 15(?) missed FTs... then Clippers might've pulled Blake and CP since there would've been no way to come back with 8min left
We hit half the free throws we missed, we win this game. And good to see eg explode.
So looked up the stats when Roberts plays 30 minutes, pretty impressive. Would anybody rather him start over Vasquez next year, not saying it would but if it HAD to come down to it.
Don't be surprised if B. Roberts is the starting PG heading into next season. #ijs The dude can play. Don't forget he was doing CP3 dirty last night. I can only imagine a full offseason/training camp with better pieces! #SCARY
Lets not get too excited guys. I'm not a Vasquez lover but if Roberts is our starting point guard next we either had several injuries next year or the FO really screwed up the draft and free agency!
makes GV very expendable and i like that!
Roberts starting is not an option.
If he was going to stay I think he'd have signed an extension. The rumors about him and Griffin/Jordan clashing might be real. I think he goes to the Knicks and fills the dream he addressed at Melo's wedding. Not saying it'll happen 100%, but I wouldn't be shocked if he did that
Are any of those Cha Bobcats point guards going to be available next year?
They've got Kemba, sessions and Ben Gordon. Or is Ben Gordon a shooting guard?
Yeah, this isn't happening. Under the old system, I'd agree that him not signing says it all, but now you'd be stupid to resign before your contract's up because you can get more years and money by letting it expire (BTW ... it's a dumb system, but it is what it is).
The Knicks don't get Paul without trading Melo and Paul won't agree if Melo is gone.
Would it be out of the question for the Knicks to trade Tyson or Amare? Does anyone even want Amare? What's the status of his health? Of course if Paul were to go to the Knicks, one of either Kidd or Felton would likely have to go as well.
Amare's contract is un-tradable, in my opinion.
ya no way someone is picking up amare's contract, worst in the nba next to joe johnson
Tyson has value. Amare has way too much negative value. No way they get rid of amare and if by some way shape or form they can, they'll have to take back some salary as well. Paul to New York went out the window then they traded for melo and signed Tyson IMO.
CP3 needs to, and I think he will, sign to stay right where he is.

Stoudemire Now a Problem for Knicks - NYTimes.com
This past summer, the Knicks offered Stoudemire to nearly every team in the league — "available for free," as one rival executive put it. But they found no takers because of his diminished production, his health and his contract, which has three years and $65 million remaining (counting this season) and which is uninsured against a career-ending knee injury.
Well yeah it's understandable that Amare's contract would be immobile. Not many thought anyone would take on Joe Johnson's contract. Amare is a different animal though thanks to his health and being unable to produce because of it.
It's just that if he does get injured, the team is due for the whole thing. Whereas other contracts they have insurance for it where they don't have to foot the bill; that along w amares injury history make it a terrible bet.
The Knicks were not able to get insurance on Amare's knees when they signed him to his big contract. That is how in question his health is.
And Ben Gordon is the shooting-est of shooting guards.
