nbadraft.net has us taking "6'10" SF Earl Clark right now.
Buy or sell?
I'd buy, we can talk about available guys all day, but when someone falls- I think you gotta go value as opposed to need

I would take Clark in a heartbeat if he fell to 21.
Turns the ball over too much, a wing player who is athletic but not a good shooter. We have had a more skilled version of this player on our roster for 2 years and he has barely played. Clark would not play for at least a year or 2 and again, him and Julian could never play together so by drafting him you are either never gonna use him or saying goodby to Julian.
Wright is more of a 2/3 and Clark is more of a 3/4. He is a pretty good defender and shot blocker. At 21, he would be a good bargain. As far as not playing for a year or two, with Scott, Blake Griffin may not play for a year or two. At 21, is not likely we are going to get a full time starter. If we can get someone to just contribute off the bench (and convince Scott that a rookie can get some PT over studs like Brown, Ely and Bowen), then we have come out ahead.Quote:

actually, i'd try and move West with one of our old-timers. He's awesome, but perhaps over-rated by some team out there
CP3
SG
Wright
Clark
Amare
Don't think he'll fall that far down the boards though. Many mock drafts have him in the lottery or just outside the lottery. If he does fall to 21st, he'll be an extremely intriguing option.Quote:

I need to understand how these two could play together on the court if we look at both of them as long term starters. I cant think of a team with two turnover prone bad outside shooters on the wings who are a good team.
If you would rather have Clark than Wright, that is one thing or if you are drafting Clark with the belief he will be a backup for life that is fine. But in 3 years, how can both he and Wright be starters? I dont see anyway it could happen, so it seems people here are okay with losing Wright if it gets us Clark.
We gotta remember this is the weakest draft since 2000 so a guy who is a "late lottery" guy in this draft might be a late first rounder or 2nd rounder in a strong draft. Just because one of the skinniest girls at a fat girls party is available doesnt mean you dump your hotter girlfriend for a chance to get with her.
 Man I would be so happy if we got stoudemire...Can Clark play the 4? Thought he was a 3.Quote:

I guess you would match them with
cp3
mo pete
posey
west
hilton/marks
Amare is by far one of the worst defensive big men in the league and in addition he would have to play center for us which would make it worse. Clark would be a super skinny 4. Wright has a chance to be a great defender and yes you are right if we had Jordan as our 2 guard the defense could be good. And again, this lineup would be a coaches nightmare as Clark is th most turnover prone player in the draft, Wright is instant turnover and Amare isnt much better.
