Especially since everything we've heard from the Lakers is that they've reduced the size of their offer and are more reluctant to shell out assets given the current turmoil in the front office. They've just had one of the worst 5 years in the history of their franchise, running their entire organisation as such a shambles that their GM just gave up in a TMZ-style impromptu press conference, don't even have a GM right now, their lead guy is Rob Pelinka who every other GM in the league hates, and somehow they're going to win a bidding war that has Danny Ainge on the other side of it.
