True. All we do is lose trade leverage for Gordon if we go out and tell everyone that we're starting Evans.

I have a major feeling, that we are gonna Sign Tyreke, Trade Gordon for cap room and strike the money with Iggy.
Whens tyreke meeting with the other teams?
really dont wanna trade rivers, he is gonna be so good in 2 years
I wouldn't worry. Seems like about as worthless as one can get as far as info. So, we're not shopping him, but he's not unobtainable? Yeah- no **** he's not unobtainable. Why would he be unobtainable? How is this "news" at all???? The only player that is unobtainable should be Davis- and maybe Holiday in this moment.
Dont know if this has been posted yet but judging from this it seems likely we could have a decision on Evans over the next day or so. From the sounds of it he sounds very interested in signing here. Hmmm which is interesting because it contradicts his statement of not wanting to play the 3 which could mean that Gordon will be shipped out and we have evans playing the 2 spot.
"Sam Amick of USA Today has more details on the Pelicans and their interest in obtaining Tyreke Evans.
Evans has serious interest in signing with the Pelicans, and will likely agree to sign the deal if the Kings tell him later today in their meeting in Los Angeles that they will not match. Owner Vivek Ranadive, general manager Pete D'Alessandro and coach Michael Malone are expected to take part in the meeting, and a person with knowledge of the Kings' thinking said they are considering matching the offer if he agrees to sign it. Evans is visiting with the Detroit Pistons before seeing the Kings.
Evans won the 2009-10 NBA Rookie of the Year Award, but his scoring and passing production has declined each of his four years in the NBA. Last season he averaged 15.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.5 assists a game for the Kings.
While the Pelicans were among six teams meeting with small forward Andre Iguodala today in Los Angeles, they made Evans a top priority when free agency began at 9:01 PT on Sunday night with an in-person meeting. If New Orleans lands Evans, it remains to be seen what it means for the rest of the roster that is now stacked with perimeter players."

No clarity on whether they'd match offer from New Orleans, but Evans left encouraged by the message that was sent. He likes it in Sacto.
If they really wanted him that much, they'd offer him with as much veracity as we did.
Seems like they are just trying to persuade him not to accept our offer. Hopefully he makes the smart business move.
^Oh goodness...how funny would it be; a 46+ page thread for him then he decides to re-sign, lol
