it might not be a bad idea
all depends what we send in this 4 team trade

Given that in order to bring him back it would mean the Pels having to give up one of their current gruesome contracts in exchange, that doesn't seem terribly reasonable. Omer Asik = "meh", but Ryan Anderson = "I quit"?
This is the new world of crazed NBA contracts. JJ Redick signed for $23mil. Pity poor Memphis and the remaining $80 mil owed to Chandler Parsons, who scored like 6ppg last year on 35% shooting.
Anderson has a fugly deal, but his limited game is one that has an obvious synergy with the Pels structure going forward. Have a twin towers set? One of the very first complements should be finding how volume 3pt shooters to create space fro them.
Clever suggestion given the old Stan Van Gundy connection.
Not that I think that's that clear a win in the end given the questions about Reggie, but still, it's an interesting thought. Let's just hope Stan doesn't think of it himself and decide to cut out the middle man and send Reggie to New York.
Probably easier to get Detroit in the original deal. Anderson had a crap playoffs and we all know his defense is horrid but the dude rains down 3's when hes on and Boogie & AD play most of the game one on one off, so Anderson as the 3rd big could still play 24ish mins a game. I'd honestly take it if it meant losing Asik and Moore and keeping our pick.
I honestly don't think we can get into that deal without losing our pick. I certainly hope that the pick and Diallo are off the table for now but as it has been said several times getting Asik offbook without trading the pick is next to impossible.
To be honest though, I have no idea what's the floor for NY's management. Those guys can certainly do crazy things (see Hardaway)
P.S : As I've said earlier. We don't have many assets which should have value to NY management eyes and those are not ones we put on the line for that trade.
I keep thinking that if we are involved, it would be to get Lee. Maybe some form of something like this-

with a pick or picks going to the Suns (from Houston).
Why is Anderson coming up? Because of WWL? When the hell have they ever known anything about anything?
I would rather take Eric G....
God, my bowels almost shot back up through my mouth for trying to type that sentence.
He's funny on twitter. He likes to put out little teases, but when it becomes clear that he either does not know anything or is simply guessing, he starts with his condescending remarks about people need to wait until the season to see the roster, or that they should go outside or should have something better to do with their lives than worry about Pelicans trades.
"Bledsoe has been the top target from the beginning. Lin, Jackson, others seem more gettable. This can play out any number of ways."

Would love to get Bledsoe. I just don't see it. Fingers crossed tho.
Also, I know this is ridiculous, but I just felt like posting this. If it's been posted already just ignore it.

*Add picks accordingly
I thought Phoenix was shedding salary? Maybe they aren't. Otherwise why would they take Ryno?
So this is going to be one of those refreshy days, eh?
Other teams may actually still value Ryno. I know my misguided Rocket fan friends dig him.
I could live with this plus we get what looks to be a couple moveable unguaranteed contracts.
I think the Suns were willing to use cap space for picks.
I at least like we are linked to some moves even if its just to create some excitement. Better than nothing even if nothing comes of it.
I keep seeing people argue that we have two of the best 15 players in the league. Where did the magic number 15 come from? Here's a list of the top 33 players (in the order that they came to me). Put them in order to where Cousins is the 15th best player.
Lebron
Curry
Durrant
Green
AD
Harden
Westbrook
Giannis
George
Lillard
Wall
Leonard
Hayward
Paul
Butler
Lowry
Derozan
Griffin
Irving
Millsap
Melo
Beal
Thompson
Gobert
Jordan
Towns
Gasol
Conley
Cousins
Thomas
Love
Jokic
McCollum
Now here they are grouped together based on what teams they are on:
Lebron
Irving
Love
Wall
Beal
Giannis
Thomas
Hayward
Lowry
Derozan
Curry
Durrant
Green
Thompson
AD
Cousins
Paul
Harden
Melo
George
Westbrook
Lillard
McCollum
Leonard
Towns
Butler
Griffin
Jordan
Millsap
Jokic
Gobert
Gasol
Conley
So using that logic the logic of having 2+ of the top X players, Spurs are in trouble. I mean, on that list there are 11 western conference teams. If we're hoping to not get swept we need to at least get a 7th seed. In today's guard driven league with two bigs on a team that constantly underperforms and the whole has always been less than the sum of it's parts, why would we assume that without roster upgrades that we're anything better than an 8th seed by using that logic?
My point isn't doom and gloom, it's that "we have X of the top Y players" doesn't mean you're great by default, and if it doesn't, then why say it unless you're just trying to justify your hopes for the team?
Cousins is better than most of those ppl you named (not saying much but even 2k have him as top 10-7 player in the league with AD as a 94 and Cousins as a 91-93 range
Wait I just realised you have Green better than AD!!! Yea.... ok
So when you think about top players green comes to your mind before AD?

Never forget. Ryan not welcomed here anymore.
Gordon cool though.
Players I'd rank ahead of Cousins (not a specific order):
Lebron
Curry
AD
Durant
Westbrook
Leonard
Harden
Players I'd put on the same level as Cousins:
Butler
George
CP3 (age)
Irving
Thomas
Hayward
Wall
Lillard
So top 15 i think is very fair. I'd probably have him somewhere around 10-12.
Sources: The San Antonio Spurs have renounced guard Jonathon Simmons, making him an unrestricted free agent.

So do you believe the crux of my argument? You believe that just because we have two of who you feel are top 15 players, we are guaranteed a playoff spot? Because that is what I am trying to refute, not what order they're in but rather, there are lots of good players (and personally I don't know what order my list is but I doubt he's top 20 for me) especially when you see how many teams have multiple good players whose fanbases could easily say the same thing.
