Evans' camp, when asked about the ESPN report, responded at first with a simple "Not True".

If you look at the context of the response he said that Evans is still opening to signing with the Kings which is true. Kings haven't made their offer yet so it'll be dumb to burn any bridges now. For all we know, the Kings could offer him the same or better contract than the Pelicans.
For what it's worth, that guy said he doesn't think the Kings will retain Evans.
Why would the Kings offer him a better contract ??
Tyreke when asked why he hasn't committed yet:
"I want that thread on Pelicans Report to go over 100 pages."

Me likes.
I won't get excited until the 13th, or we do a S&T. I just don't understand how a franchise as devoid of talent as Sacramento is, would let a player as talented as Evans go. I'm on board now, and I hope they do, but I just don't think they do.
We got him
@SportsCenter: Tyreke Evans will sign four-year, $44 million offer sheet with New Orleans Pelicans. (via @ESPNSteinLine and @GoodmanESPN)
Good news...maybe. No story about the Kings? We'd be worse off if he signed and they matched.
Your move Sacramento!
If that's true it's great. I just wonder if he softened his stance about playing SF. Call his position whatever you want, I don't care as long as he's willing to guard the other teams SF on defense. Heck tell him he's the PG for all I care.
Whether ESPN's report is true or not is HUGE.
Once Tyreke verbally agrees, we have to commit to that. Which means we have to trade Lopez.
If he is still playing the field and has not given us a verbal commitment, we don't have to open up that cap space. Devil is in the details
Kings radio guy going off.

@ESPNSteinLine: RT @sam_amick: Safe to say Pelicans PG Greivis Vasquez - who has same agent as Tyreke Evans - is gettable in possible sign & trade

This whole situation is hard for me to comprehend. Last year, the Hornets made Gordon a fair offer (considering his injuries) and let the market decide his value. He felt offended by the Hornets FO.
Now, Evans' team, the Kings, if reports are to be believed, were shocked that at team would offer Evans more than $9 mil, (were they underestimating his value?) THEN went and offered Iggy basically a max contract, retracted it, mulled over Evans' worth.....and then there are some reports that Evans would prefer to stay in Sac.
Just blows my mind.

That sports caster from CBS Sac radio LOVES Gravy. Said he would prefer the team with Gravy over Evans.

As already said, I don't care anymore about any reports about Evans side.
If he was not ready to sign we would have already moved on (and it does not have to be public). What we are waiting for is Sac.
That's what is blocking us and also blocking us from trading Lopez (unless Dell knows they have no interest in him).
People need to stop reacting to anything that is public about Evans situation. Either Sac offers something as good to Evans, either we S&T at this point but the only thing we are sure of is that everything depends on Sac.
Gravy is not hated here and probably not loved there. It's just about needs and he fits their need a lot more than ours. It's as simple as that.
Sac has searched desperatily for a floor general for quite some time now. That's the one quality nobody can deny about Greivis.
